You can rebuild a Gyre-based 24/7 YouTube workflow in OneStream Live, but the documented setup is not a one-click transfer: plan to make your video files available, recreate the broadcast, and check the YouTube event and its details. OneStream’s dedicated 24/7 feature is YouTube-only, requires Enterprise, and allows a scheduled run of up to 30 days. The steps below distinguish that feature from connecting OneStream to an existing YouTube event or using custom RTMP.

Can you transfer a Gyre stream directly to OneStream Live?

Not based on the available product documentation. Gyre describes sending prerecorded video through its server using an RTMP key issued by the destination platform, such as YouTube. OneStream documents ways to create a 24/7 stream or connect to a YouTube event, but its documentation does not describe importing a Gyre configuration, playlist, media library, event URL, historical stream, or analytics. Treat this as a rebuild, not a service-to-service migration. See Gyre’s description of prerecorded streaming.

What to prepare before changing the workflow

Before setting up OneStream, note the details you may need to recreate or verify. This is an operator checklist, not a list of items that Gyre or OneStream is documented to transfer automatically.

  • The YouTube channel and the current event or watch URL.
  • Broadcast title, description, thumbnail, privacy and audience settings, and schedule.
  • The original video files and intended playlist order. Confirm the files are available to you; OneStream documents adding media from a device, OneStream storage, or cloud storage, but the reviewed documentation does not establish a Gyre export or direct transfer.
  • Any operational details you need to recreate, such as the planned duration and how the video should play. Check order, audio, duration, and playlist or looping behavior in the current OneStream account interface.

Choose the OneStream setup route

OneStream documents three relevant workflows. Choose based on whether you need its dedicated 24/7 feature or are setting up around a YouTube event. The workflows should not be treated as interchangeable promises about preserving a Gyre event or URL.

Route What it is for Key details
Native 24/7 creation OneStream’s dedicated continuous-stream workflow. YouTube-only; requires Enterprise; maximum scheduled duration is 30 days. You select a channel, add videos, enter stream details, choose when to start, set the duration in days, and schedule. OneStream’s 24/7 instructions were last updated September 3, 2026.
Existing YouTube event Connect OneStream to an event already present on the YouTube channel. Select the connected channel and Existing Event, choose the event, add video, review its details, and schedule. The guide documents this route but does not say a Gyre event or URL will remain reusable. OneStream’s existing-event instructions were last updated September 15, 2026.
Custom RTMP Send a stream to a YouTube event using its RTMP destination details. Create or open the YouTube event, copy its RTMP URL and stream key, then add a Custom RTMP destination in OneStream and enter the credentials. OneStream’s custom-RTMP guide describes this setup.

Recreate the stream with OneStream’s native 24/7 feature

Use this route if you want the dedicated OneStream 24/7 workflow. OneStream’s help article says the feature is exclusive to YouTube and requires Enterprise; verify current eligibility and interface labels in your account before scheduling.

  1. Make sure your videos are accessible. Have the original files ready on your device, in OneStream storage, or in supported cloud storage, as the interface permits. The prerecorded-stream documentation describes those media sources but does not establish a Gyre-to-OneStream transfer. See OneStream’s prerecorded-streaming documentation.
  2. Open the 24/7 creation workflow. In OneStream’s web interface, create a 24-hour stream, then add the videos you intend to broadcast.
  3. Select the YouTube channel and enter the broadcast details. Review the title, description, thumbnail, privacy, audience, and other fields presented in the account interface. Do not assume the values will carry over from Gyre or from an earlier YouTube event.
  4. Choose when to start and set a duration. Select immediate start or schedule for later, then set the run length in days. OneStream’s documented maximum is 30 days for a scheduled 24/7 run.
  5. Review the media sequence and schedule. Check the video order, audio, duration, and the playback or playlist behavior shown in your account. Schedule only after verifying the YouTube destination and broadcast details.
  6. Verify playback in YouTube. Check the channel’s YouTube control room and the public or unlisted playback view appropriate to the event. Keep the existing workflow available until you have confirmed the new stream is behaving as intended; the documentation does not promise an uninterrupted handoff.

Connect OneStream to an existing YouTube event

If your intended workflow uses a scheduled event on YouTube, OneStream documents an existing-event route. It describes selecting an event, not importing Gyre’s setup or guaranteeing that a particular old event remains usable.

For current interface details, see OneStream’s existing-event guide.

Use custom RTMP for a YouTube event

The custom-RTMP method involves entering the destination credentials yourself. OneStream’s guide describes copying the RTMP URL and stream key from a YouTube event and adding them as a Custom RTMP destination in OneStream. Follow the current YouTube and OneStream interfaces carefully; the documentation does not establish whether a key from a prior Gyre setup must be rotated or whether an old event will still accept a new source.

  • Verify that the scheduled or active stream appears and plays as intended in YouTube.
  • Keep a reminder to inspect or schedule the next run before the native 24/7 workflow reaches its 30-day maximum. The documentation does not say that it renews automatically.

What is not established about the move

The reviewed product documentation does not establish that Gyre media or playlists can be exported directly into OneStream, that an old YouTube event URL or stream key will carry over, or that past stream records and analytics migrate. It also does not document a zero-downtime handoff or whether running both services against a channel or event is appropriate. Check your account and YouTube event before relying on any of those outcomes.

Or let it run in the cloud

If your goal is simply to keep prerecorded video live on YouTube, StreamNeo is another option to consider: it loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so nothing has to stay on at home. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It streams your uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one price per slot; it can automatically recover if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly pricing is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for details, or start the free first day.
