To monitor Tesco delivery slots, check the live slot picker in your Tesco Groceries account—through your basket or booking flow—and revisit it if your preferred time is missing. Check the next-week tab when it appears, and use the Tesco app as another way to view or change a booking. Tesco does not publish a general slot-release time or document automatic alerts for newly opened slots, so rely on your own account’s live availability.
Check the live slot picker
- Sign in to Tesco Groceries using the account and delivery address for your shop. Available slots can depend on the address and when you check, so use your own account rather than relying on someone else’s view.
- If you are still building your shop, open your basket and choose “Change your slot.” Review the available dates and times in the booking flow.
- If you have already checked out, go to “My orders” and open the relevant order’s change flow. In the app, use “Make changes” and “Change delivery slot.”
- If no suitable time is listed, check the next-week tab if it is available and return to the slot picker later. Tesco’s advice to check again the next day is specifically for customers with priority access, not a general release schedule.
- When a suitable slot appears, book or amend the order through Tesco and complete the checkout or update flow. Do not assume a slot is held for you before the booking is confirmed.
You can check the Tesco website and the official Grocery & Clubcard app. Tesco documents booking and order changes in both, but there is no established evidence that one shows new slots earlier than the other.
What to expect from availability and alerts
No universal release hour
Tesco’s reviewed guidance does not set a universal time when new delivery slots appear, nor an evidence-backed refresh interval. Recheck the live picker when it suits you; repeated refreshing cannot guarantee that a slot will open.
No documented new-slot notification
Tesco’s app listing and help pages explain how to book or change slots, but do not document automatic notifications when a new slot becomes available. Check your account or app directly rather than relying on an alert.

A visible slot is subject to availability
Tesco says slots are subject to availability and does not guarantee a same-day slot. Priority access also does not guarantee a preferred or seasonal slot. If you need a particular time, keep checking the account-specific picker and book it when it is offered.
Changing a slot you already booked
If a better time appears, use the order’s change flow rather than starting a separate booking. Tesco says changes are ordinarily allowed up to 11:45pm the night before delivery. Selected stores may allow same-day changes up to 1pm. Check your order confirmation email for the applicable details, then confirm the change with “Update order and check out.”

Priority access: who it applies to and how to use it
Tesco’s priority-access instructions apply to customers Tesco has identified as eligible; they are not a general sign-up method or a promise that a slot will be available. Follow the access instructions Tesco emails you, select a priority slot if one is available, and inspect the next-week tab. If there is still no free slot, Tesco advises eligible users to check again the next day. Its guide says the setup can take up to two working days after registration is confirmed. The guide says eligible users can view up to three weeks of slots; do not assume that window applies to ordinary accounts.
Tesco puts the limit plainly: “We can’t guarantee a slot will be available, but we’ll do our best to prioritise you.”

Delivery Saver does not reserve a slot
Delivery Saver is a paid plan intended to reduce delivery or collection costs, not to guarantee a newly released time. Tesco says same-day slots remain subject to availability, with the same opportunity to choose among available slots. Some plans include priority access to Christmas and Easter slots, but that access is not a guarantee. Consider a plan based on its current cost, included benefits and how often you expect to order—not solely to secure a particular slot. Check Tesco’s current plan terms, since benefits and prices can change.
Seasonal slots and changing dates
For Christmas or Easter, check Tesco’s current announcement and the booking page in your own account. Tesco’s 2026 Christmas announcement says slot dates and latest delivery dates vary by location, and slots remain subject to availability. Do not assume the dates or opening arrangements for one location apply to another.

Why not use a slot-monitoring bot?
Tesco’s cited guidance describes account-based booking and order changes; it does not establish automated monitoring scripts or third-party services as safe or authorized. Avoid giving another service your Tesco login. The supported, straightforward route is to check the live picker or app and book or amend through Tesco when a suitable slot is available.
