Hexowatch can alert you to changes on selected Indian tender pages, including new tender-related text or keywords. To use it responsibly, monitor pages that are publicly accessible to the service, choose a detection method suited to how each page publishes information, and verify every alert on the official procurement portal. An alert is a lead—not confirmation that a tender is open, relevant, complete, or one you are eligible to bid on.

What Hexowatch can—and cannot—do for tender tracking

Hexowatch documents 13 monitoring options, including visible-content, keyword, sitemap, RSS, and HTML monitoring. Its use-case page specifically describes alerts for newly published requests for proposals (RFPs). That makes it useful for watching selected public pages for changes, but it does not establish complete coverage of Indian procurement notices or guarantee how quickly a notice will be detected. Hexowatch’s monitoring options and RFP use case describe the vendor’s capabilities.

Use an alert to decide what to inspect next. It does not replace official portal searches, registration, procurement rules, or the tender documents. Hexowatch should not be treated as a bid-submission service.

Choose the official sources and pages to watch

Start with the portals relevant to your work

Make a list of the government organisations, departments, locations, and procurement categories that matter to your business or research. Start with their official procurement pages rather than broad, third-party listings. For Central Government notices, the Government of India’s Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) ePublishing page says it facilitates publication of tender enquiries, corrigenda, and contract award details for Central Government organisations.

The CPPP homepage displays active-tender and corrigendum listings. Its displayed update cadence is every 15 minutes; that describes the portal, not a Hexowatch check interval or alert-time guarantee.

Distinguish a public listing from a search form

The CPPP Active Tenders search page exposes tender ID and title fields, but says a CAPTCHA must be provided to list all active tenders. Do not assume this form can be monitored unattended, and do not try to bypass the CAPTCHA. Test the specific public page you intend to monitor; if the useful results require an interactive search or CAPTCHA, choose another accessible official listing or continue checking the portal manually.

Make a source list before configuring alerts

  • Record the official portal and page URL for each relevant organisation or category.
  • Note whether the page shows notice text directly, provides a sitemap or RSS feed, or requires a search or interaction.
  • Decide which organisation names, locations, tender categories, or procurement terms would make a change worth reviewing.
  • Keep the official source link with each monitor so you can verify an alert without relying on an email or notification alone.

Choose a Hexowatch monitor that matches the page

Page or information available Monitor to consider What to watch for
Tender information appears as readable text on the page Visible-content monitoring Changes to the displayed notice list or details. Check that the captured area includes the information you need.
You need to know when a particular term appears Keyword monitoring Terms such as your organisation name, procurement category, location, or a relevant phrase. Broad terms may create more alerts to review.
The portal publishes an RSS feed or sitemap RSS or sitemap monitoring New or changed entries exposed through that feed or sitemap. Confirm the source actually includes the notices you need.
You are considering watching the page’s underlying markup HTML monitoring Changes in page code. A structural or unrelated code change may trigger an alert without indicating a new or changed tender.
The information is presented visually or the page’s availability matters Visual or availability monitoring Visual differences or availability changes, respectively. These do not by themselves identify a valid new tender.

Hexowatch also documents AI-assisted monitoring. Choose a mode based on what the target page exposes, then validate the resulting alerts. A mode that works for one portal or page is not evidence that it will work on every department or state website.

Set up a practical tender-notice workflow

  1. Select one official page. Open it in a normal browser and identify the portion that contains the notices or the source feed. Confirm that the information you need is publicly visible without a CAPTCHA or an unavailable sign-in.
  2. Create a monitor for that page in Hexowatch. Choose visible-content monitoring for readable page text, keyword monitoring when specific terms matter, or RSS/sitemap monitoring when the portal exposes those sources. Use HTML monitoring only if you are prepared to review structural-change noise.
  3. Choose focused terms where applicable. Use the names, categories, or locations that match your work. Avoid relying on a generic term alone if it would generate many irrelevant notices.
  4. Route alerts to a channel you check. Configure the available alert destination in your Hexowatch account and make sure someone is responsible for reviewing it. The available evidence does not establish plan-specific alert channels or monitoring intervals, so check the current product interface for those details.
  5. Validate the first alerts. Open the official source page and check that the change is a tender notice or a meaningful update—not a layout change, unrelated content, or an incomplete page load.
  6. Verify each notice in the official record. Check the tender ID, issuing organisation, scope, eligibility, closing date and time, tender documents, and any later corrigenda on the official portal. Follow that portal’s instructions for registration and submission.

Track corrigenda as well as new tenders

A tender can change after its initial publication. Where the official portal exposes a public corrigendum listing or notice page, create a separate monitor for it or include its visible content in an appropriate monitor. When an alert arrives, open the official corrigendum and the associated tender record. Confirm which tender it applies to and whether it changes dates, requirements, documents, or other terms; do not infer the effect from a keyword alert alone.

The CPPP ePublishing portal includes corrigenda among the information it facilitates for Central Government organisations. This does not mean every other Indian portal presents corrigenda in the same way, so inspect each relevant portal’s own publication method.

Use an alert as a lead, not as a procurement decision

  • Confirm the record: match the notice to its tender ID and issuing organisation on the official source.
  • Check current status: verify that the opportunity is still open and note the official closing date and time.
  • Read the documents: determine scope, eligibility, submission requirements, and whether a later corrigendum changes them.
  • Keep your own tracking record: record the official source and the date you verified the notice so your team can distinguish an alert from a checked opportunity.

CPPP’s May 2025 newsletter described the portal as integrated with Government eMarketplace (GeM) and reported 1.74 lakh tenders and ₹2.33 lakh crore during May 2025. It also said GePNIC had been implemented in around 800+ Central Government Ministries, Departments, and PSUs and used in 31 State Governments/Union Territories for online tendering. These are figures and scope claims reported by the CPPP May 2025 newsletter, not current counts or proof that every listed portal can be monitored successfully.
