Use a separate Wachete monitor for each job-search results page or employer careers page you want to track. Add the exact page URL, select the listings area, choose a checking frequency and alert channel, then verify that Wachete captures the intended jobs. Give each monitor a clear name so you can tell which source changed.
Choose the pages to monitor
Start with the exact results-page or careers-page URLs you want Wachete to check. If the URL contains search filters for role, city, experience or category, preserve them when you create the monitor. Reopen each URL first to confirm it still displays the intended results; some portals may not preserve a search in its address.
For a job search, separate monitors for specific results pages are usually easier to manage than a broad crawl. This makes it clearer which source changed and helps keep the monitored pages focused.
Create a Wachete monitor for each page
- In Wachete, click Create new monitor.
- Select Single page or part of it, password protected page or media file, then enter the page URL.
- Choose the monitoring frequency and notification type.
- Select the page content to monitor. Wachete supports selecting a text or number, a section, or the whole page.
- Name the monitor so its source and search are obvious, for example
Employer – role – city. - Save the monitor, then inspect its captured value and confirm that the first alert arrives through the channel you selected.
Wachete says monitoring runs on its servers, so your computer or phone does not have to remain on. You can organize monitors into folders, for example by employer, sector or source.

Select and verify the listings area
Where possible, monitor the results region rather than the entire page to reduce alerts caused by unrelated changes. Depending on the page, useful content may include job titles, locations, posting dates or a result count. Those fields are not guaranteed to appear in the same form on every site.
Check the captured content for every monitor. Wachete says it supports modern dynamic pages, but that general feature does not prove a particular job portal will load correctly. If the preview shows only a loading shell or omits the listings, the page has not been verified as monitorable.
Choose alerts and keep changes manageable
Wachete documents notifications for page changes or selected conditions, with options including email, phone or app, chat, and daily or weekly summaries. It also documents RSS feeds for individual monitors. Pick a channel you will actually check and review the first alert: a results page can change for reasons other than a newly posted vacancy.

If you receive noise, revisit the selected page area and notification conditions. Keep monitor names distinctive so you can identify the page behind an alert without opening every monitor.
When to use Portal crawling instead
Wachete’s Portal mode can scan a root page and linked subpages, with URL filters and crawl-depth settings. Its FAQ describes following links as far as the third level; its API documentation lists depth values of one, two or three. Crawling may discover many pages—Wachete’s FAQ says several hundred can be found—and may require a paid subscription.
Use a crawl when you deliberately want linked pages discovered, not simply because you have several job searches. Inspect the URL filters and crawl scope to avoid unrelated pages. For a defined set of Indian job results or employer pages, individual monitors are generally easier to audit and organize. Check current plan limits and checking-frequency options in Wachete before scaling up; the documented material here does not establish current quotas.

Review history and troubleshoot
Wachete’s current features page says it keeps up to 12 months of saved page history and that charts for numeric values can extend up to five years. The page does not show a publication year for those figures, so confirm retention and monitor limits against the plan you use. Wachete also documents visual change previews and options to ignore selected error notifications.

- The listing is missing from the capture: Recheck the URL and selected area. For a dynamic page, inspect the preview to see whether the listing content appeared after loading. A supported feature does not guarantee every page will work.
- The monitor tracks the wrong search: Reopen the URL and verify that its filters still show the intended role, location or category. Correct the URL or rebuild the monitor if needed.
- Alerts are too frequent or irrelevant: Narrow the selected region or adjust the change conditions, then inspect the next alert to ensure meaningful job changes remain visible.
- A crawl finds too many pages: Review URL filters and depth, or replace the crawl with individual monitors for the specific results pages you need.
- A page consistently fails or requires access: The reviewed Wachete documentation does not establish compatibility with every portal, login flow or access control. Confirm the portal’s current terms and test the monitor before relying on it.
