You can monitor a public property listing or search-results page with a visual-change service that saves a baseline, checks the page on a schedule, and alerts you when its rendered appearance changes. Before setting up checks, read the portal’s current terms and get permission when required or unclear: a screenshot-only check may still count as automated monitoring. An alert shows a visual difference, not proof that a price or availability change is accurate or still current.
Check permission before scheduling a monitor
Portal terms and access controls matter more than a monitoring tool’s features. Magicbricks’ surfaced General Terms & Conditions say automated software may not be used to extract or download data without prior written consent. Another surfaced Magicbricks terms page also restricts using an automatic or similar manual process to access, acquire, copy, or monitor site content. The pages may cover different services or reflect different update histories, so check the terms that apply to the specific page and account. Do not assume a screenshot-only monitor is exempt.
Housing.com’s terms identify the website and app as services operated by Locon Solutions Private Limited and make use subject to its terms; the surfaced text does not settle whether monitoring public listing pages is permitted. Check the current terms and seek permission if needed. Permission for visual monitoring on 99acres is likewise unresolved here; consult its current terms directly. If a rule is restrictive or ambiguous, do not schedule automated checks without authorization.
A page that requires a login, presents a CAPTCHA, or blocks automated access is not an invitation to defeat that control. A local browser may help when a remote browser cannot load an otherwise authorized page, but it does not override portal terms or remove access restrictions.

Choose what you want the monitor to compare
Pick the comparison target according to the change you care about. Visualping documents whole-page and selected-element monitoring, visual, text, and code changes, scheduled checks, and before-and-after alerts. Its setup guide lists real-estate price-change alerts as a use case; that does not establish compatibility with any particular Indian portal. Visualping is a suitable starting point when you want visual comparisons and alert views.
- Whole page: Useful when the listing layout or a broad set of details could change. It can also produce noise from advertising, navigation, or other page furniture.

- Text or code: Consider these modes if you care about text or underlying page changes rather than appearance alone. Confirm that the service offers the comparison you need and that its use is authorized.

- Choose the exact public page. Open the listing or results page you want to follow. Check the portal’s current terms for that page and seek permission if the terms require it or leave authorization unclear.

Troubleshoot cautiously
