Amazon.in offers price-history information, and third-party trackers can provide charts or alerts. But those features are not the same as a daily screenshot archive: the sources available do not establish a supported, dependable service that automatically saves an image of an Amazon.in product page every day. For a visual record, capture the same product page on a consistent schedule and retain the dated files; use a separate price tracker if you also need a numeric history or alerts.
What you can track on Amazon.in
Amazon’s own price history
Amazon says its price-history feature is available to customers in India. Its article describes 30-, 90- and 365-day views, with the 365-day view still rolling out in India when the article was updated on June 24, 2026. Availability can vary, so check the product page or app rather than assuming every account has every range. Amazon says customers can find price history near the price on a product detail page or ask Alexa for Shopping about a product’s history. Amazon’s guide to price history also reports that more than 50 million customers had checked the feature since its 2024 launch; that is Amazon’s own usage figure, not an independent study.
The chart is useful for understanding a price trend, but not every offer or checkout total. Amazon Seller Central India describes the graph as showing “the lowest Featured Offer price each day.” That does not necessarily represent every seller’s offer or the price you personally would pay. Amazon Seller Central India’s announcement provides that qualification.

Keepa’s Chrome listing names Amazon.in as a supported marketplace and describes product-page charts, price-drop alerts and availability alerts. Its Android listing also names India support. See the Keepa Chrome Web Store listing and Keepa Google Play listing. The Price History Chrome extension listing describes Amazon.in price history and alerts, while noting universal tracking is in beta; check its current scope and settings in the listing.

A Firefox add-on called Amazon.in Price Tracker explicitly lists user-selected daily price checks, optional checks when the browser starts, basic history graphs, notifications and local storage. It does not advertise screenshots, and its listing showed no users or reviews when examined. Treat it as a listed option, not a verified recommendation. Details are in the Firefox Add-ons listing.
These listings describe features, not independent tests of accuracy, uptime or completeness. Before installing an extension or app, review its current permissions and privacy information, and confirm its alerts and marketplace support still meet your needs.
How to build a daily screenshot record
- Choose the exact product and variant. Open the Amazon.in product detail page and save its URL or ASIN. Keep the selected option consistent: color, storage size, pack quantity and seller can change what appears on the page.
- Check the available price history first. Look for the price-history link near the displayed price, or ask Alexa for Shopping about the product. The available ranges may differ by account or rollout status.
- Pick a repeatable capture time. Capture at roughly the same time each day, using the same page, variant, browser or device, and location context where possible. Record the date and time with the image.
- Capture enough context to interpret the price. Keep the product name, selected variant, displayed offer and seller context, and page URL visible or recorded alongside the screenshot. A cropped price alone is difficult to audit later.
- Save files with dated names. Use an unambiguous pattern such as
asin-2026-10-03-0900.png, and keep the original files in a folder or storage location you control. A spreadsheet or CSV with timestamp, URL, variant, displayed price, offer context and filename makes comparisons easier. - Check failures instead of treating them as prices. If the page is blank, still loading, showing a sign-in prompt, bot check or CAPTCHA, mark that day as a failed capture and try again later. Do not file a challenge screen as evidence of a price.
This is a practical workflow, not a verified Amazon-approved automation recipe. A scheduled browser script would need to wait for page rendering, detect challenge or sign-in screens, save dated images, and flag failed captures; validate those behaviors before relying on it. A public Playwright project demonstrates scheduled price-data collection, but its README does not establish screenshot capture, completeness, compliance or reliability. See the project README.

What a screenshot can—and cannot—prove
A screenshot records what one page showed at a particular time. It is not a continuous price history, proof of the total at checkout, or proof that every shopper had access to the same offer. Account-specific delivery, coupons, payment offers, location and the selected offer can affect what a shopper ultimately pays; the sources cited here do not quantify those effects.
If you need to compare amounts over time, keep a separate numeric log. Use Amazon’s chart or a tracker for historical data and alerts, and treat your screenshots as a visual record of the page state you captured. Compare like with like: the same variant and, where possible, the same offer context.
Or skip the browser setup
ScreenshotNeo is a website screenshot API and MCP server for developers. One GET request can return a PNG, JPEG, WebP or PDF. For a dated capture workflow, an external scheduler or script can call the endpoint and save the resulting image; ScreenshotNeo itself is not a daily scheduler, and this does not guarantee Amazon will display the same content to every shopper.

Cost, reliability and privacy considerations
- Use the right evidence source. Amazon’s chart or a tracker may be more convenient for trends and notifications; screenshots are useful when you need a record of what a page visibly showed at a moment in time.
- Expect gaps. A daily process can miss a day because of network errors, browser interruptions, page changes or challenge screens. Keep an explicit failure status rather than silently treating missing data as no price change.
- Account for context. Prices can differ with offer selection, location, coupons and payment offers. Note relevant context and avoid claiming that a screenshot establishes a universal price.
- Review data handling. For extensions and apps, check current permissions, privacy practices, notification settings and whether history is stored locally or remotely before relying on them.
Troubleshooting a missing or misleading capture
The product price or history link is missing
Confirm that the correct product page and variant are open, then check in the Amazon app or on the product detail page. The 365-day history view was described as rolling out in India, so a missing option may reflect availability rather than a problem with your account.
The screenshot shows a blank page or a challenge
Do not treat it as a valid price observation. Mark the capture as failed and retry later. If you automate captures, add checks for page readiness and visible challenge or sign-in screens, and alert yourself when a capture is not usable.

Your saved images appear to show inconsistent prices
Check that you captured the same ASIN, variant, seller or offer context, and page URL. Also note the time and location context. If the goal is to compare actual numeric values, record the displayed price and offer details in a separate log rather than relying on image filenames alone.
A tracker does not send an alert
Verify that the extension or app still supports Amazon.in, that tracking is enabled for the exact product, and that the alert threshold and device notification permissions are set as intended. A listing’s advertised feature set is not a guarantee that every product or notification will work in every case.

Does Amazon’s price-history chart show every seller’s price?
No. Amazon Seller Central India says the graph shows the lowest Featured Offer price each day, not necessarily every seller’s offer.
