To monitor a website behind a login with Fluxguard, configure a session that first opens the login page and submits the form, then visits the protected page. Fluxguard documents that cookies and local storage carry across pages in a session. Run a crawl and check its screenshot to verify it captured the authenticated view; a configured login alone does not prove the session worked. Use this only on sites you own or are authorized to access.
Configure a Fluxguard session for a form login
- Add the login page. Add the page containing the login form to a Fluxguard session, then run an initial crawl so Fluxguard captures the page before login.
- Add actions for the form fields. In the page view, configure actions to enter a username, enter a password, and submit the form. Use selectors that uniquely identify those controls. Fluxguard’s tutorial describes its Visual Selector and also suggests inspecting the page in a browser to copy a selector.
- Keep selectors maintainable. Prefer a short selector that uniquely identifies a field over a long path dependent on many levels of page structure. A layout change can invalidate selectors tied to incidental nesting.
- Allow time for the response. Increase the post-submit wait if the form or destination loads slowly. Fluxguard gives 6,000 milliseconds as an example, not a universal requirement. Save the actions and return to the session.
- Add the protected page after login. Session pages run in sequence, and Fluxguard says cookies and local storage are preserved across pages. Add the authorized dashboard or other target after the login step. If you want to capture both the login page and the post-login page, Fluxguard’s tutorial suggests adding the login page twice.
- Run a verification crawl. Open the resulting capture and inspect its screenshot. Confirm that it shows the expected authenticated content before relying on later comparisons.
Configure browser basic authentication separately
A browser-level basic-auth prompt is not an HTML login form. For basic authentication, Fluxguard’s tutorial directs users to Session Settings > Crawl and the authentication fields. For a regular form, use page actions and selectors instead.
Review captures and changes
Once the screenshot confirms the logged-in view, use Fluxguard’s capture history and comparison views to review later crawls. Its console guide describes comparison information for text, rendered HTML, screenshots or pixels, and network activity. Treat a crawl that shows a login screen, an error, or an empty page as a failed verification—not evidence that the protected content is unchanged.

The documented workflow covers form-based login and browser basic authentication. It does not promise that every MFA challenge, CAPTCHA, identity-provider redirect, or changing authentication flow will work. Test the actual authorized target and confirm the captured page is authenticated; do not assume support from the fact that the setup can be saved.

- Used Book in Good Condition
Fluxguard’s tutorial states: “Review our Terms of Service: you may only use our product to log in to your own sites or sites where you have permission.” Its described session behavior is a vendor statement, not an independent compatibility guarantee.
Pricing note
Fluxguard’s pricing page, observed on October 3, 2026, lists “Form Submission Tracking” for monitoring behind logins and gated content in its Standard plan feature list. The page says prices are in US dollars and paid plans begin with a seven-day free trial. Plan details and pricing may change, so check the live Fluxguard pricing page before subscribing.

For a screenshot rather than a recurring authenticated monitoring workflow, ScreenshotNeo offers a one-call website screenshot API. It does not replace Fluxguard’s session sequence for logging into a protected site: the call below captures the URL provided, and no authenticated login flow is shown.
