To enlarge supported text on an iPad, open Settings > Display & Brightness > Text Size and move the slider. For larger font options, use Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text. If you mean making an app easier to read rather than enlarging its entire interface, you can also set different text options for individual apps, use Accessibility Reader, or magnify the screen with Zoom.
Choose the setting that matches what you want bigger

Make supported text bigger across apps
- Open Settings > Display & Brightness > Text Size.
- Move the slider until the text is comfortable to read.
Apple says you can change font size in Mail, Contacts, Calendar, Phone, Notes, and other apps that support Dynamic Type. Apps that do not support the setting may not change. Use larger accessibility text sizes
- Open Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Larger Text.
- Turn on Larger Accessibility Sizes if it is not already enabled, then move the slider to the size you want.
The largest sizes can make some app buttons or other functions harder to tap, so choose a size that remains usable as well as readable. Apple Support explains the text-size controls and their potential effect on app controls.
Make text larger in one app
- Open Settings > Accessibility > Per-App Settings.
- Tap Add App, then choose the app you want to customize. You can also choose Home Screen & App Library.
- Open the new entry and adjust the available text-size or other visual settings.
Per-App Settings lets you tailor supported visual settings, including text size, for selected apps or the Home Screen and App Library. It does not promise to enlarge every element or all app icons. Apple iPad User Guide: Customize visual settings for specific apps

Use Accessibility Reader for a larger reading view
Accessibility Reader puts text from an app into a full-screen reading view you can customize. It is useful when you want to read content in a cleaner layout rather than enlarge the app’s menus and controls.
- Go to Settings > Accessibility > Read & Speak > Accessibility Reader and enable it.
- Start Reader from Control Center, the Accessibility Shortcut, or an app’s Share menu.
- In the reader, adjust text size, font, boldness, theme, spacing, and readable content width.
Reader formatting and availability can vary with software, language, region, or device support. Resizing reader text does not require Apple Intelligence. Apple iPad User Guide: Use Accessibility Reader

Magnify the screen with Zoom
Use Zoom when the content itself does not respond sufficiently to text-size settings. Unlike Text Size, Zoom magnifies what is displayed, so it can enlarge text as well as other screen content.

- Choose a full-screen, window, or pinned zoom region if you want to change how magnification appears.
- Turn Zoom on or off with a three-finger double-tap or your Accessibility Shortcut. Use three-finger gestures to adjust magnification and pan around the screen.
