You can’t summon Herobrine in unmodified Minecraft: he is a community legend, not a built-in vanilla mob. A gold-and-Netherrack shrine won’t trigger an official spawn. To make a Herobrine-like figure, create a static display with an armor stand, or use a compatible custom entity pack or mod for movement and behavior.
Choose what you mean by “make Herobrine”

How to make a static Herobrine display
An armor stand is the simplest route if you only want the familiar appearance. It will not act like a mob or move on its own; treat it as a staged figure, not a true Herobrine spawn.

- Place an armor stand where you want the figure to appear. Bedrock’s official entity reference identifies
minecraft:armor_standas summonable, but the exact command and available options can vary by edition and version. - Dress it in pale or neutral clothing to suggest a Steve-like character. The exact equipment and appearance options depend on your edition and available items.
- Add a Herobrine-style head or player skin if your platform and available content support it. The cited armor-stand reference does not establish a specific head or skin recipe.
- For a staged sighting, position the figure partly behind terrain or in fog. This changes the presentation only; it does not give the stand AI or make it a native mob.
How to create a moving Herobrine-like entity in Bedrock
For an entity that can be spawned as a character rather than displayed as a statue, use a custom entity pack or a compatible third-party pack. Microsoft’s creator tutorial documents a route built from a behavior pack and a resource pack; it is a framework for making your own entity, not a ready-made Herobrine.
- Follow Microsoft’s custom entity tutorial to create the behavior and resource packs.
- Give the entity an identifier and configure its components and appearance in the pack.
- Make the entity summonable in its definition. In Microsoft’s sample workflow, the tutorial entity can then be spawned with a spawn egg or the summon command.
- Test the pack in the Bedrock version you intend to play. A pack’s publisher should state which editions and game versions it supports; do not assume compatibility from the word “Minecraft” alone.
The tutorial’s summon example applies to the custom entity created in its workflow. It does not add Herobrine to vanilla Minecraft.

What Java Edition players should know about commands
Java command recipes are especially version-sensitive. Java Edition 1.21.5 changed Armor Stand equipment data: ArmorItems, HandItems, and body_armor_item were merged into equipment. See the Java Edition 1.21.5 release notes, published March 25, 2025.
That change means a command copied from an older tutorial may use outdated data fields or syntax. A surfaced legacy command-block Herobrine build is not a validated recipe for current Minecraft. Before using any Java command or datapack, check that its instructions explicitly match your game version; for a moving character, also check the mod loader and any required dependencies.

Will a Herobrine shrine summon him?
No. The gold-block and Netherrack shrine is part of the legend, not an official vanilla summoning mechanic. A shrine can be used as scenery for a build or role-play, but it will not create a built-in Herobrine mob.
