YouTube’s documented playlist controls do not include an automatic setting to skip videos you have already played today. You can organize a session with the desktop queue, save that list as a playlist, or loop a playlist—but none of those options filters items by today’s watch history.
Here, “livestream playlist” most likely means a playlist of livestream replays or other recordings. The official help pages cover ordinary playlists and player controls, not a special daily-skip mode for livestream recordings.
What YouTube can—and cannot—do natively
YouTube’s documented controls let you add, remove, and reorder playlist videos, create a desktop queue, and repeat a video or playlist. The reviewed YouTube Help and IFrame Player API documentation does not describe a rule that checks which playlist videos were played on the current day and skips them automatically. That is a limit of the documented controls, not proof that no account-specific or newly introduced interface could offer such a feature.

Use a queue for one playback session
If you want to arrange videos for a session, use YouTube’s desktop queue. It helps organize what plays next, but it does not track the day’s viewing or remove watched items automatically.
- On a computer, open YouTube and find a video you want to watch.
- Use the video’s menu and choose Add to queue. Repeat for the other videos you want in the session.
- Review and reorder the queue as needed, then play it.
- If you want the list to remain available after the browser closes, save the queue as a playlist. YouTube Help notes that an unsaved queue is not saved after the browser is closed.
For the current desktop controls, see YouTube Help’s Queue videos on YouTube and Create and manage playlists. Saving the list preserves your chosen videos; it does not create a daily watched-item filter.

What playlist looping does
Turn on playlist looping only when you want the playlist to start over after the final video. It is designed to repeat, not to skip videos played today. YouTube documents loop controls for supported desktop, mobile, TV, and console playback; the exact control can vary by device.
What the IFrame Player API offers
If you control a website embedding a YouTube player, the IFrame Player API supports playlist looping and shuffle behavior. The cited API reference does not document a daily watch-history exclusion control, nor does it establish that an embedded player can read a viewer’s YouTube watch history. See the YouTube IFrame Player API Reference for the supported player behavior.

A custom script or third-party extension claiming to skip videos watched today would require separate verification, privacy review, and testing. The documented YouTube controls above are not evidence that such a tool works or can access watch history.
