On a computer, use the control in the playlist panel; on Android, use the playlist controls beneath the video; on a TV or gaming console, select Repeat and confirm it indicates the playlist. This repeats playlist playback—it does not make an active livestream restart itself when the broadcast ends.
First, distinguish playlist playback from a live broadcast
A “livestream playlist” might mean a playlist containing videos of past livestreams, or it might mean a broadcast that is live right now. YouTube’s playlist controls can repeat the videos in a playlist. The cited YouTube instructions do not describe using that control to restart an active broadcast indefinitely.
For a live broadcast, YouTube documents separate stream-management settings, including DVR and stream auto-start and auto-stop. DVR lets viewers pause, rewind, and resume during a stream; those settings are not playlist-repeat controls. Likewise, the rolling segment playlist in YouTube’s HLS ingestion guidance is a technical part of sending a live stream, not the viewer-facing playlist feature.
Loop a playlist on a computer
- Open and play a video that belongs to the playlist.
- Expand the playlist panel beside the video.
- Click the Loop control in the playlist box and check that playlist looping is selected.
Do not confuse this with the Loop action in the video player’s context menu: that repeats the current video, not the whole playlist. See YouTube’s computer instructions for looping videos and playlists.

Loop a playlist on Android
- Start playing the playlist.
- Find the playlist control box beneath the video.
- Tap Loop to repeat the playlist continuously.
If you want to repeat only the video currently playing, tap Loop again. YouTube says a “1” appears in the middle of the icon to indicate single-video repeat. See YouTube’s Android instructions.
Loop a playlist on a TV or gaming console
- Select and play the playlist.
- While the video is playing, press down on the remote or controller to show playback controls.
- Select Repeat until the interface indicates “Repeat • Playlist.” You can also reach the Repeat control from Settings while watching.
The indicator matters: use it to confirm that YouTube will repeat the playlist rather than only the current video. Labels and control locations can differ by device and app version. YouTube’s computer, TV, and gaming console help page covers these instructions.

Keep a pre-recorded YouTube stream live around the clock
Playlist looping on YouTube is for watching playlist items. If your goal is instead to keep uploaded video broadcasting as a 24/7 YouTube live stream, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. It loops uploaded video from the cloud, so your computer does not have to stay on. The service is for YouTube and plays uploaded videos; it does not broadcast a camera feed.
Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo keeps the stream running with your computer off, supports uploaded video at its original quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card; the monthly option is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo for service details, then start the free first day.
