To make a 24/7 YouTube stream with Gyre, verify your YouTube channel, upload prerecorded videos, arrange them into a looping playlist, connect your channel in Gyre, and launch or schedule the stream. Before adding music, confirm that every track’s license explicitly covers live broadcasts and your intended use. “Royalty-free” alone does not guarantee that a track is cleared for livestreaming or exempt from YouTube Content ID interruptions.

Before you start: check YouTube eligibility

YouTube says livestreaming requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and creators must be at least 16. Check the current requirements on YouTube’s live-streaming help page before you set up the broadcast.

Build the video playlist in Gyre

Upload prerecorded videos

Gyre’s documented workflow starts with uploading prerecorded video files to its service. It describes the stream as cloud-hosted, so your computer does not have to remain on to keep the broadcast running. These are Gyre’s product claims; confirm current capabilities and interface details on Gyre’s website.

Arrange and review the playlist

Put the uploaded videos into a playlist. Gyre says the playlist repeats when it reaches the end. It also recommends keeping the videos on one topic; that is Gyre’s editorial advice, not a YouTube eligibility rule. Review the sequence and make sure each video and audio track is cleared for the intended broadcast before you go live.

Connect YouTube and launch or schedule the stream

  1. Connect your channel: In Gyre, connect the YouTube channel you intend to use. Follow the current connection flow shown in Gyre; interface labels may change.
  2. Choose the playlist: Select the playlist of prerecorded videos you prepared.
  3. Configure the broadcast: Set up the stream or schedule it using Gyre’s current controls. YouTube lists Gyre among cloud-based options for continuous streams of prerecorded video in its encoder setup guidance.
  4. Preview and monitor: Use YouTube’s preview and monitoring guidance before and after starting. A continuous-stream setup is not a guarantee of uninterrupted availability: platform enforcement, service or network problems, and rights disputes can interrupt a broadcast.

Choose music that is actually licensed for live streaming

YouTube’s Livestream Terms and Conditions place responsibility on the provider to have the necessary rights for live content, including music rights from artists, record labels, publishers, and other rights holders. Read the YouTube Livestream Terms and Conditions alongside the license for every track you use.

Check the license scope track by track

Before putting a song in a continuous playlist, verify whether its license expressly permits live broadcasts and covers the territories where you expect to stream. Also check whether it allows commercial use or monetization, requires attribution, and covers an archived replay if you leave the recording available. Keep the license, receipt, and track details. A catalog’s “royalty-free” label does not establish these permissions by itself.

Use YouTube’s music guidance carefully

YouTube recommends its Audio Library as a starting point for royalty-free music and sound effects; follow the terms attached to each track. Do not treat Creator Music as a substitute for a livestream license: YouTube’s Creator Music usage guidance says its tracks are for long-form videos, not livestreams or Shorts. For any other music library, check the actual license for the specific track rather than assuming all tracks in a catalog share the same permissions.

Plan for Content ID even when you have a license

YouTube scans live broadcasts for third-party content. A detected match can cause the live player to be replaced with a placeholder, interrupt the broadcast, or terminate it. YouTube says that if you have licensed third-party content, you should ask the owner to add your channel to their Content ID allowlist. Get confirmation before relying on a track for a continuous stream; a license and an allowlist address different parts of the problem.

Troubleshoot common setup and music problems

Symptom Likely cause What to do
You cannot start a YouTube live stream The channel may not meet current eligibility requirements or may have a live-streaming restriction. Check channel verification, age eligibility, and restrictions on YouTube’s requirements page.
A track triggers a live-stream interruption YouTube detected a third-party match, or the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel. Stop relying on the track until you verify its live-use license and ask the rights holder about Content ID allowlisting.
You have a license but still receive a match Possessing a license does not necessarily prevent Content ID from matching the track. Contact the rights holder and request that your channel be added to its Content ID allowlist, as YouTube advises.
The playlist contains a track whose permissions are unclear The license may not cover livestreaming, territory, monetization, attribution, or replay. Check the track-specific terms and obtain written clarification or replace the track with one whose scope is clear.
