To broadcast recorded IELTS lessons continuously, send them to YouTube as a live feed through an encoder workflow. First confirm your channel can livestream, prepare a playlist of lessons you have the rights to rebroadcast, then configure an encoder or hosted playout service to send that program to YouTube. YouTube’s general live-streaming guidance supports encoder streaming, but does not document a specific setup for continuously looping prerecorded lessons; exact steps and settings therefore depend on the encoder or service you choose.
1. Check that your channel is eligible to go live
YouTube says a channel must be verified and must have had no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. A person must also be at least 16 to livestream. Review YouTube’s current requirements before setting up the broadcast: Get started with live streaming.
If your channel does not meet the requirements, resolve the issue or wait until it is eligible before planning a continuous broadcast. The cited YouTube guidance identifies these prerequisites; it does not establish additional channel-specific eligibility conditions.

Choose the recordings that make sense as one ongoing program. A useful sequence might move from general test guidance to listening, reading, writing, speaking, and practice lessons. Make the order understandable to someone who joins midway: use clear lesson titles and, where useful, an opening card or spoken introduction that identifies the topic.

Check every element for rebroadcast rights
Review the complete recordings, not just the main lesson. Rights issues can arise from background music, video clips, photographs, textbook pages, diagrams, slides, or other material included in a lesson. Possessing a recording or having permission to use material in a classroom does not by itself establish permission to rebroadcast it continuously on YouTube.
YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. An unresolved match can interrupt or terminate a broadcast. Even if you have a licence, YouTube says the rights owner may need to add your channel to its Content ID allowlist for the stream to avoid interruptions. Check YouTube’s guidance on copyright issues with live streams and contact the rights holder if allowlisting is needed.

Make the playlist robust for viewers who arrive at any time
- Put the lesson title and skill area in the video itself or in other material viewers can readily see.
- Check that transitions between recordings do not depend on viewers having watched the previous lesson.
- Remove or replace segments you are not authorized to rebroadcast, including embedded third-party media.
- Keep a separate record of the source and permissions for each lesson and any third-party material it contains.
3. Choose how the recorded program will reach YouTube
YouTube lists encoder streaming as one way to go live. Its overview describes encoders as supporting gameplay, overlays, and hardware such as preamps, microphones, and cameras. For recorded lessons, the key requirement is that your chosen encoder or playout service can send the prerecorded program as a live feed and continue through the playlist or loop. YouTube’s general overview does not specify a particular looping configuration.

Run an encoder locally
A local encoder is a do-it-yourself approach: the computer running it plays or assembles the lesson program and sends the live feed to YouTube. This gives you direct control of the playback setup, but the broadcast depends on that computer, its software, power, and internet connection remaining available. You will need to consult the documentation for your particular encoder to learn how it handles playlists, looping, reconnects, and stream output.

There is no single bitrate, resolution, keyframe interval, or menu path that can be stated as verified for every encoder and looping workflow on the available YouTube guidance. Use the settings and stream-key instructions provided by YouTube for your selected live event and by your encoder’s documentation. Do not assume that one configuration applies to every resolution, network, or software version.
Use hosted playout
A hosted service can run uploaded recordings from its own cloud system rather than relying on a home computer to play the program. The specific service determines how you upload lessons, create a playlist, connect the YouTube stream key, and recover from interruptions. Check those capabilities, costs, archive handling, and the provider’s own documentation before relying on a service for an always-on channel.

4. Connect the program to YouTube and start the broadcast
- Open YouTube’s live workflow. In YouTube Studio, create or select the live broadcast and obtain the stream details shown for it. Labels and screen layouts can change; follow YouTube’s current live-streaming instructions for your account.
- Connect the encoder or service. Enter the YouTube stream key in the encoder or hosted service using its documented procedure. Treat the key as a password: do not post it publicly or include it in lesson materials.
- Load the lesson program. Arrange the recordings in the desired sequence and enable continuous playback or looping if your chosen system supports it. Confirm the behavior in that system’s own documentation rather than assuming a playlist will repeat automatically.
- Review the outgoing feed. Before relying on it as a continuous channel, confirm that the correct lessons and audio are being sent and that the intended live broadcast is active. YouTube’s general encoder overview does not define a specific test procedure for looping prerecorded lessons.
- Monitor and maintain the setup. A continuous broadcast still depends on the selected computer, network, encoder, or hosted provider. Decide who will notice an interruption and what recovery process is available; the cited YouTube sources do not establish uninterrupted service for any particular setup.
5. Decide whether you need the livestream archive
Continuous availability and an archived replay are separate outcomes. YouTube’s Creator Liaison guidance published August 12, 2026 says archived livestreams can count toward qualified watch hours under the described criteria, while unarchived live streams do not count under those criteria. Check the current explanation at What counts as qualified watch hours and views for YouTube monetization.
Do not assume that a 24/7 stream will necessarily be captured or remain available as a replay. Verify the current archive limits and settings for your channel and the behavior of the encoder or hosting service before depending on the archive for viewers or watch-hour eligibility.
6. Or let it run in the cloud
StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload the recordings, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops the videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. It is YouTube-only and plays uploaded videos rather than broadcasting a camera.
