To run a 24/7 Marathi Vitthal bhajan stream on YouTube, first clear rights for every recording and composition, enable live streaming on your channel, then send a tested playlist and visual feed through an encoder such as OBS. A computer-based setup needs reliable power, internet and monitoring; if full-day replays matter, plan for local recording or shorter sessions because YouTube streams longer than 12 hours may not be archived.

1. Clear rights to every bhajan recording

Before uploading tracks or starting an encoder, list each recording and the underlying composition. Confirm that permission covers livestreaming, the territories where the stream will be available, and any archived replay you intend to keep. A devotional subject, attribution in the description, or the fact that a recording is already online does not establish permission to broadcast it.

YouTube scans live streams for third-party content. A match can replace the stream with a placeholder, trigger a warning, interrupt or terminate the broadcast, or lead to a strike. Even a licensed track may be interrupted if the channel has not been allowlisted through Content ID by the rights owner. Ask the label, distributor, publisher or other relevant rights administrator to confirm permission and complete any required allowlisting before launch. Keep written records tied to the actual master recording, composition, live use, territories and replay use.

YouTube for Artists advises: “If you’re planning on using copyright-protected music during your live stream, we recommend coordinating with your label or distributor to avoid any issues, such as copyright strikes.” Read YouTube for Artists’ guidance for music channels. YouTube’s livestream terms also require providers to have necessary rights for the content they stream worldwide, including relevant music rights. This platform guidance is not legal advice for a particular catalog or territory.

2. Enable live streaming on your channel

Check eligibility and turn on live streaming well before the planned launch. YouTube requires channel verification and no live-streaming restrictions in the prior 90 days. First-time enablement may take up to 24 hours, so do not leave activation until launch day. Review YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility and setup requirements.

3. Choose how to keep the stream running

Run an encoder on a computer

OBS Studio is a free, open-source option for sending a static devotional image or a rotating visual alongside a playlist. The OBS Project says it has no watermarks or usage limitations and may be used commercially; see the OBS Help Portal. With this do-it-yourself approach, the computer, encoder, internet connection and power must stay available. You also need a person or monitoring plan to respond if playback or the connection fails.

Use StreamNeo to run the uploaded playlist in the cloud

StreamNeo is a cloud service for keeping a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live. The cloud keeps the loop running without a computer, OBS or home connection staying on. Each slot includes one always-on YouTube stream, 24/7 looping and playlists, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and StreamNeo team support. Uploaded video streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, without re-encoding or quality tiers; all plans have the same product and differ only in duration.

The first day is free with no card, once per account. Billing options are a day, week, month, six months or year, and you can cancel any time. UPI and cards are supported in India; card checkout is available worldwide. For five or more slots, contact support.

Or let it run in the cloud: upload the bhajans, add the YouTube stream key, and go live. Nothing has to stay powered on at home; any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps is included at one price per slot; StreamNeo automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly: $9.99 per month. Learn more at StreamNeo or start the free day.

4. Create the YouTube broadcast and connect the encoder

  1. In YouTube Studio, create a live stream and enter its title, description, visibility, thumbnail and schedule. Use wording and imagery that accurately describe the playlist and remain appropriate as it loops.
  2. Open the stream’s Live Control Room and copy the YouTube Live server URL and stream key into the encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send video to your broadcast. Do not publish or share it publicly.
  3. In OBS, configure your visual scene and authorized audio playlist, then connect to the YouTube ingest destination using the server URL and key. Exact OBS menu labels can vary by version; follow the current OBS interface and YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.

5. Set encoder quality for a stable devotional stream

Choose a resolution your upload connection can sustain rather than maximizing quality by default. For a mostly static image, test a modest resolution first; the right choice depends on the visual, audience playback and available upload bandwidth. YouTube’s current encoder guidance includes RTMP/RTMPS ingestion, H.264 as well as H.265 and AV1, constant bitrate (CBR), a recommended two-second keyframe interval (no more than four seconds), and AAC or MP3 audio. For stereo audio, its advanced-setting guidance lists 44.1 kHz and 128 kbps.

H.264 frame-size guidance YouTube listed bitrate
240p–720p at 30 fps 4 Mbps
720p at 60 fps 6 Mbps
1080p at 30 fps 10 Mbps

These are YouTube’s listed recommendations, not a guarantee that a particular connection or encoder will remain stable. Check YouTube’s current encoder settings, bitrates and resolutions before configuring the stream. Aim for upload capacity above the combined stream bitrate; YouTube recommends 20% extra headroom and warns that network disruption can break a stream. Its streaming tips recommend testing and monitoring the encoder.

6. Test privately before the public launch

  1. Set the broadcast visibility to private or unlisted for a test, rather than beginning with a public 24-hour session.
  2. Start the encoder and check the Live Control Room preview and stream-health indicator. Confirm the audio is audible and not clipping, the visual is correct, and the playlist advances or loops as intended.
  3. Watch playback on a phone as well as the production computer. Check that the image, sound and title make sense to someone joining at any point in the cycle.
  4. Test with the actual upload connection and leave bandwidth headroom above the configured bitrate. A successful short test cannot guarantee that a long run will be interruption-free, so monitor the stream after launch too.

7. Plan continuity, power and playlist recovery

A 24/7 computer-based encoder depends on the computer not sleeping, the software continuing to run, the playlist not exhausting, and power and internet remaining available. Disable sleep for the streaming machine, prevent avoidable restarts during the planned run, keep a local copy of authorized media, and check audio levels and playback periodically. Prepare a clear recovery procedure for restarting the encoder and verifying the stream after a failure.

Consider backup internet, redundant equipment or an uninterruptible power supply for streaming PC only if your site’s outage risks and budget justify them. A UPS can bridge a brief power interruption; it cannot provide indefinite runtime or fix an internet outage. YouTube describes testing encoder failover for productions that use a backup encoder, but a backup is an optional resilience choice, not a requirement for every channel.

8. Choose between continuous viewing and complete replays

YouTube says streams under 12 hours can be automatically archived; a stream exceeding 12 hours may not be captured at all. A single continuous feed is convenient for always-on listening, but it is not a dependable way to create a complete full-day replay. If searchable replays matter, use shorter scheduled sessions and label them clearly, and/or record locally and verify the resulting file. Decide whether uninterrupted listening, replay segments or both matter most before choosing a restart schedule. See YouTube’s live-stream archive guidance.

9. Troubleshoot common problems

Symptom Likely cause What to check or do
YouTube will not accept the live stream Live streaming is not enabled, the channel is ineligible, or a restriction applies. Verify the channel and check YouTube’s eligibility requirements, including the prior-90-day restriction condition. If this is the first enablement, allow up to 24 hours.
Encoder connects, but there is no picture or sound Wrong scene or media source, incorrect server URL or stream key, or a stopped playlist. Check the encoder’s selected scene and audio meters, confirm media playback locally, and re-enter the correct URL and private stream key from the intended YouTube broadcast.
Stream health degrades or the broadcast disconnects Upload capacity is too close to the bitrate, or the network is unstable. Check the actual upload connection, reduce resolution or bitrate if needed, preserve YouTube’s recommended 20% bandwidth headroom, and test again. Monitor after reconnecting.
Music triggers a warning or interrupts the stream A Content ID match, missing or mismatched permissions, or missing rights-owner allowlisting. Pause use of the affected track, contact the relevant label, distributor or publisher, verify live and replay permissions, and request any needed allowlisting. Attribution alone does not resolve a rights issue.
A full-day replay is missing or incomplete The broadcast exceeded 12 hours or the archive did not capture the full session. Use shorter sessions for platform archives and keep a verified local recording if a complete replay is essential.
