To make a 24/7 Gujarati bhajan channel on YouTube Live, prepare music and visuals you have the rights to use, enable live streaming on a verified channel, and send a continuous feed through an encoder. You can run that encoder on a computer, use dedicated hardware, or host prerecorded playback in the cloud. Because YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived but does not establish a single stream as a safe indefinite broadcast, plan shorter segments, restarts, and a way to recover if the feed stops.
Choose how to keep the stream running

The steps below explain the do-it-yourself computer-encoder approach. If you use a hardware encoder, follow its setup instructions for the equivalent stream URL, key, and encoding settings.
Prepare the channel and bhajan content
Enable live streaming before launch
YouTube requires a verified channel with no live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. Check the channel’s live-streaming status in YouTube’s Live Control Room and enable the feature ahead of time; first-time enablement can take up to 24 hours. Do not leave activation until the planned launch.

Choose recordings and visuals you can use
Decide whether the channel will feature original performances recorded for it or recordings and visuals for which you have documented permission. A bhajan’s traditional status does not by itself make a particular modern recording, arrangement, accompaniment, or video free to use. The recording and composition can involve different rights. Keep permission records and confirm that they cover online live streaming, relevant territories, and archive or replay use where applicable.

YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility for necessary rights on the content provider. Its systems scan live streams for third-party matches. A match can replace the feed with a placeholder, prompt a warning, or cause a temporary interruption or termination. Even a license may not stop an interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted the channel through Content ID. Review the copyright safety checklist as part of your preparation.
Be clear about what viewers are watching
Use a Gujarati title and description that identify the performers and recording source. State whether the broadcast is a live performance or prerecorded content playing as a live stream, and publish a visible schedule. Do not imply that a recording is being performed live when it is not.

Set up a computer encoder
- Create the stream in YouTube Live Control Room. Use YouTube’s encoder setup to create or schedule the broadcast, then copy the server URL and stream key shown there into your streaming software. Treat the key like a password: anyone with it may be able to send video to your stream. Reset it if you believe it has been exposed.
- Choose a format your connection can sustain. YouTube’s current encoder guidance lists RTMP/RTMPS, H.264, H.265 or AV1 video, and AAC or MP3 audio. Select a resolution and frame rate that match your source material and available sustained upload speed. Use YouTube’s resolution-specific bitrate guidance for that output rather than guessing a bitrate that may exceed your connection.
- Set a constant bitrate and keyframe interval. Use constant bitrate (CBR) and a two-second keyframe interval as YouTube recommends; do not exceed four seconds. Match the encoder’s other settings to the selected resolution and YouTube’s current guidance.
- Build a repeatable playlist or feed. Add only content you are entitled to use. Check that each file plays through, audio is present, and the end of one item transitions acceptably to the next. If your software supports a playlist or looping source, test what happens at the end of the list and after an encoder restart.
- Test privately or with a limited audience before launch. Check sound level and continuity, video playback, stream health, and stability on the same computer and internet connection you intend to use. YouTube recommends testing and monitoring; it does not promise an uninterrupted broadcast.
- Start the broadcast and monitor it. Confirm in Live Control Room that YouTube is receiving the feed and that stream health is acceptable. Arrange alerts and a person or documented recovery procedure for encoder, internet, or power failures.
Plan segments, restarts, and recovery
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Its guidance does not establish one stream as a safe indefinite 24/7 operation, nor does the under-12-hour archive rule promise a single continuous archive for a longer broadcast. Schedule segments shorter than 12 hours and decide how the channel will restart or hand off between them. If continuous availability matters, test the transition in advance and plan for a gap or a backup feed rather than assuming a restart will be seamless.
- Keep a reliable copy of the playlist and encoder settings so you can restore the feed after a failure.
- Check the stream from another device or network, not only from the computer sending it.
- Decide who will act if the encoder stops, the home connection fails, or power is lost.
- Make sure a recovery process does not accidentally start an unauthorized recording or expose the stream key.
Understand copyright and monetization separately
Permission does not guarantee uninterrupted playback
You are responsible for securing the rights needed for the music and visuals. YouTube scans live streams for third-party content, and a license does not necessarily prevent a Content ID interruption unless the rights holder has allowlisted your channel. Resolve any rights-holder and allowlisting arrangements before relying on a recording for a continuous broadcast.

Originality matters for monetization too
Copyright permission and YouTube Partner Program eligibility are separate issues. YouTube reviews reused content at the channel level, independently of copyright enforcement. In its July 15, 2025 policy update, YouTube renamed its repetitious-content policy to “inauthentic content” and clarified that repetitive or mass-produced content is ineligible under that policy. Build a channel around original performances or meaningful editorial or educational context, and make clear what the channel itself contributes. Permission to rebroadcast someone else’s material alone does not guarantee monetization.
Do not promise a fixed return
For eligible channels in the YouTube Partner Program with monetization enabled, live-stream revenue options include ads, Super Chat and Super Stickers, and memberships where available. YouTube says ad slots are not guaranteed to serve, so income depends on channel-specific performance and cannot be inferred from the fact that a stream runs all day.
