To run devotional programming on YouTube around the clock, enable livestreaming, prepare content you are authorized to rebroadcast, create an encoder stream in YouTube Studio, and add Hindi and English as separate translated title-and-description metadata. Test the complete setup before launch. YouTube’s setup guidance does not guarantee uninterrupted 24/7 broadcasting, so plan to monitor the stream and recover it if it stops.
Before you start: confirm eligibility and rights
Enable live streaming in advance
Your channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. First-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours, so check this before your planned start date. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility instructions.
Use devotional content you have permission to broadcast
Prepare the audio, video, and visuals you have the necessary rights to use. YouTube’s livestream terms make the provider responsible for obtaining those rights, including music licensing rights. A bhajan or other devotional recording being publicly accessible, credited, or religious in nature does not itself give you permission to rebroadcast it. Read the YouTube Terms of Service and check that your permissions cover livestreaming on YouTube.

Create the YouTube livestream with an encoder
- Open Live Control Room. In YouTube Studio, create a stream or schedule one in advance. YouTube’s encoder livestreaming guide describes the software and hardware encoder routes.
- Copy the connection details. In the stream setup, copy YouTube’s server URL and stream key into the matching fields in OBS or another encoder. Treat the stream key like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a broadcast to your channel.
- Configure your encoder input. Select the prepared devotional audio and video source. YouTube’s cited setup guidance does not prescribe a particular playlist-looping method, encoder restart automation, bitrate, resolution, or hardware specification for unattended 24/7 operation. Check the current encoder and YouTube settings against the actual media and connection you will use instead of assuming a particular configuration is a YouTube requirement.
- Start the encoder and check the preview. Wait for the incoming picture and sound to appear in Live Control Room. For a scheduled stream, use the room’s Go live action after the preview arrives.
- Verify the public watch page. Confirm that the live page opens and that playback, sound, and picture work as expected on a phone as well as your usual viewing device.
YouTube says streams under 12 hours are automatically archived. Do not assume that a single uninterrupted 24-hour broadcast will be saved as one complete video. See YouTube’s livestream archive guidance and plan your archive expectations accordingly.

Add Hindi and English titles and descriptions
You can enter translated metadata for a video in YouTube Studio. This is different from placing both languages in one title: localization lets viewers be shown a title and description in an appropriate language, and translated metadata may also appear in search.
- In YouTube Studio, open the video’s details and set its original language if prompted.
- Open the language or translations controls and add Hindi or English.
- Choose Title and description, enter the translated title and description, and publish the translation.
- Repeat for the other language. Make the default title and description useful too, in case a viewer is not shown either translation.
Use accurate, natural wording in both languages, and review the Hindi and English text before publishing. YouTube’s instructions are in adding translated video titles and descriptions and its language and translation settings.

Test reliability before relying on a 24/7 schedule
- Check upload capacity. YouTube recommends keeping roughly 20% headroom beyond the stream bitrate. This is a recommendation, not an uptime guarantee; see YouTube’s streaming tips.
- Inspect the Live Control Room preview. Confirm the intended content, picture, and audio arrive before going live.
- Check playback on the watch page and a mobile device. A working encoder preview alone does not confirm that the public viewing experience is correct.
- Monitor stream health and audio/video during operation. Test with representative audio and motion. If you are also recording locally, verify that the recording file is actually growing.
These checks can reveal common setup problems, but they do not certify a stream as uninterrupted. The official setup guidance does not specify a complete unattended-broadcast architecture or promise continuous availability.

YouTube scans livestreams for third-party content. If it detects such content, it may replace the stream with a placeholder and warn you; if the content continues, the broadcast may be interrupted or terminated. Even material you have licensed can trigger an interruption if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. See YouTube’s guidance on live-streaming with third-party content.

For each recording, confirm that your permission covers the relevant music and other material in a YouTube livestream. If a stream is flagged, review the warning and resolve the rights or Content ID issue rather than assuming that attribution or the devotional subject matter is enough.
Choose how to keep the broadcast running
A software encoder on a computer you already own is a straightforward DIY route. A dedicated computer is an optional operational choice, not a YouTube-specified requirement. A hardware or cloud encoder may suit other workflows, but the YouTube setup guidance does not establish that one category is best for devotional programming or provide comparable prices. Consider the cost, operator skill, automation and recovery needs, and whether the option accepts your chosen input and stream protocol. In every case, test the actual setup and plan for monitoring and recovery; do not treat 24/7 as a guarantee of uninterrupted service.
