To make a PowerPoint presentation repeat, open Slide Show > Set Up Slide Show in the desktop app and choose Browsed at a kiosk (full screen). The show will loop until someone presses Esc. If you want it to advance unattended, set slide timings too: looping and automatic advancement are separate settings.
Set the presentation to loop

Open the presentation in a supported desktop edition of PowerPoint.

Select Slide Show > Set Up Slide Show.

Under Show type, select Browsed at a kiosk (full screen). Microsoft describes this mode as looping the slide show until the viewer presses Esc. Kiosk mode also selects the continuous-loop option automatically. See Microsoft’s instructions for creating a self-running presentation.

Select OK, then start the show from the beginning to confirm that the last slide returns to the first.

Make slides advance automatically
The loop setting controls what happens after the last slide; it does not set how long each slide stays on screen. For unattended playback, assign timings as well.
Record a different duration for each slide

Choose Slide Show > Rehearse Timings.

Advance through the deck at the pace you want. PowerPoint starts the rehearsal timer immediately and records the time spent on each slide.

At the end, keep the recorded timings when prompted. You can inspect a slide’s recorded time in Slide Sorter view.

Use the same interval across slides

Select a slide and open the Transitions tab.

Under Advance Slide, check After and enter the interval.

Select Apply to All if the same interval should be used throughout the presentation.
The interval begins after the final animation or other effect on each slide finishes. Microsoft documents this setting in its transition timing instructions.

Choose the timing method that fits the deck
| Method | Useful when | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Rehearse Timings | Slides need individual durations based on narration or a real presentation pace. | Records the time spent on each slide as you move through the deck. |
| Transitions > After | Slides should advance at a fixed interval, especially when many need the same pace. | Sets an automatic advance interval; Apply to All copies it to the other slides. |
Limitations and opening the show automatically
PowerPoint for the web
Microsoft says looping a slide show is not supported in PowerPoint for the web. If you cannot find the kiosk or loop setting, check that you are using a supported desktop edition. See Microsoft’s slide show guidance.

If you also want the file to open in presentation mode when double-clicked, save a copy as a PowerPoint Show (.ppsx) in a supported desktop edition. This changes how the file opens; it does not enable looping or set timings. Microsoft says saving as .ppsx is not available in PowerPoint for the web. Follow Microsoft’s instructions for saving a PowerPoint Show.
