To loop prerecorded Indian classical music videos on YouTube Live, keep a continuous video feed running through an encoder or a cloud streaming service. YouTube does not turn a regular video or playlist into a live broadcast by itself: you create a live stream, connect its stream key to the encoder or service, and have that source repeat your videos. For 2160p60 using H.264, YouTube recommends a 35 Mbps video bitrate; your source files and upload connection must also be able to sustain the chosen quality.
Choose how to keep the stream running
The key choice is who will play the files, maintain the loop, and send the live feed to YouTube. The local-computer and dedicated-hardware options below are do-it-yourself approaches; a cloud looping service can handle file playback remotely.
| Approach | Control and setup | What must keep running | Playlist looping |
|---|---|---|---|
| StreamNeo, a cloud service for YouTube | Upload your videos, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. | StreamNeo runs the uploaded videos in the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not need to stay on. | Includes looping and playlists. |
| Local computer and encoder | You control local files and playlist sequencing, but must configure playback and route it into an encoder. YouTube’s setup documentation covers encoder ingestion, not one universal local looping configuration. | Your computer, playback, encoder, and internet upload connection. | Set up a playlist or sequence that restarts in your playback workflow; the exact method depends on the software you choose. |
| Dedicated hardware encoder | YouTube lists the Blackmagic Web Presenter 4K as able to stream directly up to 2160p60. Choose a continuing video source separately. | The encoder, continuing source, and internet upload connection. | The cited YouTube listing does not say the encoder creates or manages a looping playlist. |
| Another cloud looping service | Gyre describes uploading prerecorded videos, arranging them into a playlist, and restarting the playlist when it ends. This is the vendor’s description, not an independent performance test. | The service handles playback remotely according to its description; check its current plans and limits directly. | Playlist looping is described on the Gyre service page. |
StreamNeo is #1 for a cloud-based YouTube loop: it runs continuously from the cloud, supports uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot, and gives each account a first day free.

Prepare the channel, videos, and rights
Check live-stream eligibility
Enable live streaming on your YouTube channel before planning the broadcast. YouTube says first-time activation can take up to 24 hours. Its live tips also say the channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the previous 90 days. Confirm eligibility in your channel before the planned start time. See YouTube’s encoder setup guide and YouTube’s live-stream tips.

Use recordings you are allowed to rebroadcast
Before uploading a concert, recital, bhajan, raga performance, or music video, make sure you have the necessary rights for both the music and the video recording. The fact that a performance is classical, traditional, publicly available, or already on YouTube does not establish that you may rebroadcast it. These guidelines do not establish clearance for any particular Indian classical recording. They also cannot determine whether a specific looped stream qualifies for monetization; that depends on the recording and channel circumstances.
Check whether 4K60 is worth the bandwidth
Use 2160p60 only if your video files, playback or cloud workflow, encoder, and upload connection can sustain it. A lower resolution or frame rate may be more practical if any part of the chain cannot maintain 4K60; 4K60 is not a requirement for music playback. YouTube transcodes incoming streams into different output formats for viewers’ devices and network conditions. Refer to YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate guidance when choosing settings.

Set up a local computer loop
For a do-it-yourself stream, prepare a sequence that repeats your permitted video files, then route its playback into an encoder connected to YouTube. YouTube’s official documentation establishes how an encoder sends the live feed; it does not prescribe a particular application or universal local loop configuration.
- Prepare the playlist. Keep the source videos accessible to the computer and arrange them in the order you want. Configure your chosen playback workflow to restart the sequence at the end. Test that the transition from the last item back to the first does not leave a gap or stop the feed.
- Route playback into the encoder. Select the video and audio output from your playback setup as the encoder’s live source. Confirm that the picture and sound are both present before connecting to YouTube.
- Keep the full chain available. The computer must keep playing and encoding, and the network must continue uploading. Plan to monitor the stream and address interruptions rather than assuming a local playlist alone will maintain a live broadcast.
Create the YouTube stream and connect the source
- Open YouTube Live Control Room. Create or schedule the live stream. Use the stream’s URL and stream key from the setup details.
- Enter the connection details in the encoder or service. Paste the stream URL and key into the corresponding fields. YouTube’s encoder setup guide describes this connection workflow.
- Protect the stream key. Treat it like a password: anyone who obtains it may be able to send a feed to your stream. Do not share it publicly, and reset it if you believe it has been exposed. See YouTube’s live-stream settings guidance.
- Preview before going live. Start the encoder or service feed, check YouTube’s preview for picture and audio, and review stream health messages before starting the broadcast.
Choose 4K60 encoder settings
For a 4K/2160p60 H.264 feed, use YouTube’s recommended video bitrate and keyframe settings below. These are encoder ingestion settings; the connection from your encoder to YouTube must sustain the bitrate. Settings and codec ranges are from YouTube’s current encoder guidance.

| Setting | 4K60 guidance |
|---|---|
| Resolution and frame rate | 2160p at 60 fps, if the source and complete streaming chain can maintain it. |
| Codec | YouTube lists H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1 for RTMP/RTMPS ingestion. |
| H.264 video bitrate | 35 Mbps recommended for 2160p60. |
| AV1 or H.265 video bitrate | YouTube’s 2160p60 table gives a 10–40 Mbps range for these codecs. Do not treat that range as the H.264 recommendation. |
| Rate control | CBR recommended. |
| Keyframe interval | 2 seconds recommended; do not exceed 4 seconds between keyframes. |
| Ingestion protocol | RTMPS recommended for secure ingestion. |
| Latency | Low-latency optimization is unavailable at 4K, so expect normal latency. |
Choose settings supported by your encoder rather than selecting 4K60 solely because it is available. YouTube transcodes the incoming feed for viewers, but that does not compensate for an unstable upload or a source that cannot sustain the selected input settings.
Test, go live, and monitor
- Run a representative test. Include the sort of audio and video motion in the actual program. Check that vocals, instruments, and any intended visual detail are clear in the preview.
- Confirm the loop continues. Let the playlist reach its end and verify that playback returns to the beginning while the encoder feed remains active.
- Check YouTube’s preview and stream health. Confirm that video and audio are present and review status messages before starting the broadcast. YouTube’s live tips and encoder guidance cover testing and stream monitoring.
- Start the broadcast. Once the feed is previewing correctly, start the live stream in Live Control Room if your workflow requires that separate action.
- Keep an eye on the whole chain. With a local setup, check that playback, encoding, and upload continue. With a cloud service, monitor the service and YouTube stream status according to their current controls.
Plan for the archive
YouTube says streams shorter than 12 hours can be automatically archived and that streams longer than 12 hours may not be captured at all. Its archive guidance also says 1440p and 2160p streams are automatically archived. If a complete replay matters, keep a local recording rather than relying only on the YouTube archive. See YouTube’s live archive guidance.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely cause | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube does not receive a feed | The stream is not enabled, the stream URL or key is incorrect, or the encoder has not started sending. | Confirm channel live eligibility, check the URL and key in the encoder or service, and verify that its feed has started. Reset the key if it may have been exposed. |
| Video or audio is missing in preview | The playback source may not be routed correctly to the encoder, or the wrong input may be selected. | Check the selected video and audio sources in the playback and encoder setup, then preview again before going live. |
| The picture stutters or the feed becomes unstable | The encoder or upload connection may not sustain the selected resolution, frame rate, and bitrate. | Check stream health and whether the upload can maintain the configured bitrate. If it cannot, reduce resolution, frame rate, or bitrate to a level the complete chain can sustain. |
| The playlist stops at the final video | The local playback sequence may not be configured to restart, or the service playlist may need adjustment. | Test the end-of-playlist behavior before going live; verify that the sequence repeats and the encoder feed remains active. |
| The stream key may have been shared | Someone else could use the credential to send a feed. | Reset the key in YouTube’s live settings and update the encoder or service with the new key. |
| The live replay is incomplete or absent | The stream exceeded 12 hours; YouTube warns it may not capture streams beyond that duration. | Record locally if a complete archive matters, and consult YouTube’s archive guidance for current behavior. |
