Install Dolphin Emulator from its official Google Play listing for the simplest setup. If you need an APK instead, download an Android build from Dolphin’s official download page. First check that your device meets the processor, Android, and graphics requirements; meeting them does not guarantee that games will run smoothly.
Check whether your Android device meets Dolphin’s requirements
Dolphin’s project README lists these minimum requirements for Android:
- Android 7.0 or newer.
- A 64-bit ARMv8 or x86-64 processor.
- OpenGL ES 3.0 or later.
These are installation requirements, not a promise of good performance in every game. Dolphin says performance varies heavily with graphics-driver quality, so an acceptable Android version alone is not enough to judge whether a device will play a particular title well. Dolphin project README

Install Dolphin from Google Play
- Open the official Dolphin Emulator Google Play listing.
- Confirm that the app is named Dolphin Emulator, then tap Install.
- When installation finishes, open the app.

Install an APK from Dolphin’s official download page
If you need an APK rather than the Play Store installation, use Dolphin’s official download page and select an Android build. Avoid third-party APK mirrors: the project page is the source for Dolphin’s Android downloads.
- Open Dolphin’s official download page.
- Choose an Android build and download its APK.
- Open the downloaded file and follow Android’s prompts to install it. The exact prompts for allowing an installation may vary by Android version and device manufacturer.

Dolphin does not include games

Check the processor and graphics requirements first
If Dolphin will not install, verify that the device has a 64-bit ARMv8 or x86-64 processor and supports OpenGL ES 3.0 or later. Dolphin’s README says unsupported devices may fail installation and display an error. The FAQ search-result text also says the APK can alert users when requirements are missing. If you are installing an APK, make sure it came from Dolphin’s official download page and that you selected an Android build. Prompts for installing a downloaded APK differ across Android versions and manufacturers; follow the instructions shown on your device rather than relying on a menu path that may not apply to it.
