To install software for a CORSAIR peripheral, download and run iCUE from CORSAIR’s official downloads page, follow the installer, click Finish, and restart your computer. “CORSAIR drivers” can mean iCUE for configuring supported devices, a separate driver for a specific CORSAIR gaming PC, or a firmware update for a device; choose the download that matches your hardware and task.
What “CORSAIR drivers” means
For most CORSAIR peripherals, the relevant desktop application is iCUE. CORSAIR describes it as software for configuring supported gaming PCs and peripherals, including lighting, performance, key assignments, and audio settings. Compatibility varies by device and feature, so installation alone does not guarantee that every option will be available.
CORSAIR’s downloads page separates software from driver and firmware downloads. If you own a CORSAIR gaming PC and need a system-specific driver, select your exact product on the official page and use its listing. Do not substitute a generic peripheral driver. A firmware update is different again: it updates software stored on a compatible device rather than installing iCUE on the computer.

CORSAIR’s compatibility article, last updated April 17, 2024, lists Windows 10 64-bit or newer and 1.5 GB of disk space. Its macOS guidance lists a 2015-or-newer system, macOS 12.7 or newer, and 500 MB of disk space. The same article says iCUE is unsupported on Linux and consoles, and CORSAIR says its software and drivers do not work on mobile devices. These are dated vendor requirements, not independently verified current minimums; check the compatibility information linked from the current CORSAIR downloads page before installing.

Install iCUE on a PC or Mac
- On the computer where you will use the software, open CORSAIR Downloads and choose the iCUE download for your operating system. CORSAIR says iCUE is not compatible with mobile devices and should be downloaded from a PC or Mac.
- Download the installer, then open the downloaded file.
- Choose an installation language and follow the prompts.
- When setup completes, click Finish, then restart the computer.
- Open iCUE and connect your supported device. If you need a separate gaming-PC driver rather than iCUE, return to the downloads page and select the exact CORSAIR PC or product.
CORSAIR labels its downloads page for current and legacy software, but visible dated entries may not represent the latest release. Use the page’s current download selection rather than relying on an old installer version found elsewhere.
Update device firmware separately
A firmware update is not required simply to install iCUE. CORSAIR says firmware updates can improve device performance or address bugs. Use only a method listed for your device in CORSAIR’s firmware update guidance, updated July 15, 2026; compatible routes vary.

Update from iCUE
For iCUE 5.14 or newer, CORSAIR describes opening the device tile’s settings and checking for updates. The article also gives a device-settings route for iCUE 4 or newer. Follow the on-screen instructions for the version and product you have, since paths differ.

Use the browser-based utility when supported
CORSAIR offers a browser-based Firmware Update Utility for compatible devices. Verify that your device is supported, close iCUE, authorize the utility’s access when prompted, select the device, and follow the browser prompts. Do not use this route for a device that is not listed as compatible.

Keep the connection stable
Connect the device directly to the PC rather than through a hub, switch, or dock. For a wireless product, connect both the device and its dongle directly to the computer for the update. Do not disconnect the device while firmware is being written. If iCUE reports “Up-to-Date” but CORSAIR Support directs a manual action, use its Force Update option or firmware file supplied by Customer Support; do not obtain firmware from an unrelated download site.
Fix a device that disappeared after an iCUE update
CORSAIR’s detection procedure applies specifically when a device stops appearing after updating from one iCUE version to another. It is not a universal fix for every detection problem or operating system.

- On Windows, open Apps & features, select CORSAIR iCUE 5 Software, open its three-dot menu, and choose Modify.
- Allow iCUE to repair automatically, then check whether the device appears.
- If the problem remains, follow CORSAIR’s clean uninstall and reinstall instructions. Contact CORSAIR Customer Support if the issue persists.
When to reinstall iCUE cleanly
A clean reinstall may be appropriate if local files are corrupted or iCUE has persistent performance or behavior problems. CORSAIR’s June 18, 2026 instructions offer its iCUE Removal Tool for a quick iCUE 5 reinstall, as well as manual removal steps. Follow the official removal article exactly; its manual Windows cleanup identifies CORSAIR-specific files and folders and warns against deleting other system files.

- Use the removal tool or the manual procedure CORSAIR documents for your situation. Do not delete files outside the locations specified in its instructions.
- Restart the computer after cleanup.
- Download iCUE again from CORSAIR’s official page and run the installer.
If the installer fails, CORSAIR suggests updating the operating system, running the installer as administrator, and avoiding VPN or tunneling services during installation. If repair or reinstall does not resolve the issue, ask CORSAIR Support for device-specific help rather than using an unverified driver utility.
