The safest way to install Call of Duty: Mobile on Android is Google Play. Activision lists Android 6.0 or newer and at least 2 GB of RAM as the minimum, but “any Android phone” is not accurate: Play Store compatibility also depends on hardware, certification, region and software. The official sources identified for Android do not provide a universal publisher-hosted APK download, so treat third-party APK, MOD and “free CP” files as security risks rather than official alternatives.
Check compatibility before installing
Activision’s current minimum requirements are:
- Android 6.0 or later.
- At least 2 GB of RAM.
See Activision’s Call of Duty: Mobile support page for the requirements and installation troubleshooting. Meeting those minimums does not guarantee a particular frame rate, graphics setting or even Play Store eligibility. Google may also filter devices by processor or GPU, 32-bit/64-bit architecture, Play Protect certification, regional edition and other compatibility checks. Activision does not support emulators.
Keep substantially more free storage than the initial store download suggests. After installation, the game can offer maps, weapons, operators and HD resources through its in-game Download Manager, and updates can increase storage use. Use Wi-Fi and install only the optional resources you need at first. An APK file’s size is not the same as the game’s final installed size.

Install Call of Duty: Mobile from Google Play
- Connect your phone to reliable Wi-Fi and check available storage.
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Search for Call of Duty Mobile.
- Open the listing named Call of Duty®: Mobile. Verify that the publisher is Activision Publishing, Inc. and that the Play URL contains the package identifier
com.activision.callofduty.shooter. - Tap Install and wait for Play to finish.
- Launch the game. Sign in or create and link an account when prompted if you want your progress protected.
- Let the in-game Download Manager retrieve required files. Download optional maps or HD assets only after confirming that you have enough space.
Google’s general installation instructions are available in Android Help. Do not confuse this listing with Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, unofficial “COD Mobile Lite” apps, test builds or modified packages.
Is there an official Call of Duty: Mobile APK?
Android can technically install an APK from outside Google Play, but the official sources for this game direct users to Google Play and do not publish a universal standalone APK URL. Therefore, an APK mirror should not be described as an official download. A sideloaded file may be outdated, region-specific, modified, incomplete or built for the wrong architecture; installation also does not guarantee authentication, resource downloads or future updates.

Google warns that unknown-source installations can expose your device and personal information to malware, data loss and other harm. Read its Android app-installation guidance before enabling such installs.

Use these steps only for an APK from the publisher or a source whose authenticity you can independently verify. The official Call of Duty: Mobile sources identified above do not provide a general APK link.
- Check the exact publisher URL, file version and date. If the vendor publishes a checksum or signature, verify it. Confirm the package name, supported Android versions and CPU architecture.
- Determine whether the download is a single APK or a split package such as APKS or XAPK. A base APK alone may be incomplete and may require additional resource files.
- Download it with the phone’s browser, then open it from Files or Downloads.
- If Android blocks the install, use the prompt to allow the specific browser or file manager to install unknown apps. Menu names vary by manufacturer and Android version; newer Android releases use a per-app permission rather than one global switch.
- Return to the file and tap Install.
- Afterward, return to that source app’s settings and revoke Allow from this source.
- Open the game and grant only necessary permissions. Never install a second package promising free COD Points, unlocked skins, cheats or “anti-ban” protection.
Sideloading is not a supported way to make an incompatible phone compatible, and it does not guarantee that progress will transfer between regional editions or account types.

Fix Play Store compatibility and download problems
Play Store says “not compatible”
- Check Settings → About phone for Android 6.0 or newer and verify the phone’s RAM specification.
- Install pending Android and Google Play system updates, then restart the phone.
- Free storage for the app, its downloaded resources and temporary update files.
- Confirm that Google Play Store and Google Play Services work normally and that the device is Play Protect certified.
- Open Settings → Apps (also labelled Apps & notifications, App Manager or Manage apps), select Google Play Store, and clear its cache. If necessary, clear its data, reopen Play and try again.
An APK will not fix unsupported graphics hardware, an uncertified device or a genuine regional restriction. Do not use a VPN as a promised compatibility fix, and do not change your account region merely to seek different prices or performance.
Download is pending or fails
Check the connection, available storage and system updates, restart the phone, and then clear Play Store cache/data using the path above. These checks are also recommended in Activision’s installation troubleshooting.

“App not installed”
- Wrong CPU architecture or Android version.
- Corrupt or incomplete download.
- Insufficient storage.
- A conflicting installation or a signature mismatch with the Play Store version.
- The file is one part of a split package rather than a complete install.
“There was a problem parsing the package”
Usually the file is corrupt, modified, incomplete or built for a newer Android release. Obtain a verified file for the correct architecture instead of repeatedly retrying an unknown download.
The game opens but downloads forever
Test a stable, unrestricted connection; check storage; restart the phone; and clear the game cache. An unofficial or outdated package, damaged cache or regional server problem can also cause the loop. Reinstall from Google Play when possible.
Black screen or crash
Update the game and Android, close background apps and screen overlays, restart the phone, free RAM and clear the game cache. Activision’s detailed guidance is at its black-screen support article. Persistent crashes on a phone that meets only the minimums may indicate unsupported hardware or insufficient available memory.

If your phone has no Google Play Store
Alternative manufacturer store
Search the manufacturer’s or regional store for the official publisher listing. Verify the name, publisher and package carefully; do not assume that every similarly branded result is genuine.
No Google Mobile Services
Compatibility, sign-in and notifications can differ on phones without Google Mobile Services. An APK alone does not guarantee that the game will authenticate or receive updates. Huawei and similarly restricted devices require current first-party confirmation rather than a universal promise.
Regional availability
Global and regional distributions can differ. Activision’s original launch announcement excluded Mainland China, Vietnam and Belgium, but that 2019 announcement is not a current availability list. Check the store in your own country. Activision also says it cannot change a user’s registered Call of Duty: Mobile region; see its region policy.

- Link the game to an Activision account or another supported sign-in method instead of relying only on a guest profile.
- Confirm the account is linked before uninstalling or changing regional editions.
- Keep passwords and one-time codes away from APK download pages.
- Do not install MOD APKs, cheats, “free CP” tools or anti-ban clients. They can steal credentials, contain malware or put the account at risk.
- Leave Play Protect and normal Android security protections enabled.
For lower-end phones, close overlays and unnecessary background apps, keep free storage available, use Wi-Fi for resource downloads and select lower graphics options if the game offers them. Minimum eligibility does not promise smooth performance.
Common questions
Is Call of Duty: Mobile free?
The Google Play listing describes it as free to download, with ads and in-app purchases. An internet connection is required.

Can I install it on Android 5?
No supported installation should be assumed: Activision lists Android 6.0 or later as the minimum.
Does it work on emulators?
Activision states that emulators are not supported.
Is an APK safer than Google Play?
No. Google Play is the preferred channel; an APK is safe only when its origin and integrity can be independently verified, and it still may not run or update.
Can a VPN fix regional availability?
There is no guarantee. Availability and account region follow Activision and store policies, and Activision says registered regions cannot be changed through its support process.
Is this the same game as Warzone Mobile?
No. Verify the exact title and Activision publisher on Google Play before installing.
