To get the Nightfall Katana in Slayers 2, collect its schematic from a chest in the underwater cave beneath the waterfall by the docks at Mistfall Harbor, then craft the weapon at the forge in Hidden Mist Village. The schematic unlocks the recipe; it is not the katana itself.
Find the Nightfall Katana schematic at Mistfall Harbor
- Travel to Mistfall Harbor. Look for the waterfall beside the docks. Two community guides report this location for the schematic: Mistfall Harbor guide and schematic guide.
- Dive beneath the waterfall. Search underwater for an opening and swim through it to enter the cave.
- Reach the cave’s right-side platform. Climb up to the platform and open the chest to collect the Nightfall Katana schematic. The chest provides the crafting unlock, not the finished weapon.
Unlock the forge in Hidden Mist Village
Take the schematic to the forge in Hidden Mist Village to craft the katana. A community guide reports that access involves Blacksmith Togane’s dialogue quest, “The Forge,” and a level 65 requirement. Reaching level 65 alone does not unlock the forge; speak with Togane and complete the quest. The level and quest details are guide-reported, not confirmed by official developer documentation.
Check the live recipe before gathering materials
The guides reviewed confirm the schematic-to-forge route but do not establish the Nightfall Katana’s exact ingredient quantities or currency cost. Check the recipe shown in the current forge menu before farming. Recipe details can change, and a recipe for another Nightfall item should not be treated as the katana’s recipe.

What the reported stats say
A September 22, 2026 Slayers 2 Wiki guide lists the Nightfall Katana with +5.75 Additional Damage, a 1.14x damage factor, and +6.2 Block Points. These are community-guide figures, not independently measured values, so they do not establish real-world damage output or prove the weapon is better overall.

For context, the same guide lists Firstlight Katana at +4 Additional Damage and +6.9 Block Points. That comparison is limited to the reported base-weapon labels; refinement and build can affect a player’s results. Treat the figures as a point of reference, not a definitive weapon ranking.
