To get the Morph Ball Bomb before the usual progression in Metroid Dread, first collect the Varia Suit and Wide Beam, then detour to Artaria for the Grapple Beam. Return to Dairon, cross the E.M.M.I. zone, restore power, and reach the Bomb room. The detour is optional; it can also enable an alternate interaction during Kraid’s second phase.
What you need before starting
The early route requires the Varia Suit, Wide Beam, and Grapple Beam. Get the Varia Suit and Wide Beam first. The Grapple Beam comes later in the detour, so you do not need it before heading to Dairon.

This is a sequence break rather than the usual route through the game. If you would rather follow ordinary progression, you can skip the detour and return for the Bomb when the story leads you there.

How to reach the early Bomb

Take the Dairon detour
With the Varia Suit and Wide Beam, go to Dairon instead of continuing toward Kraid by the ordinary route. Enter the heated area and use the platforming route to open the secret elevator to Artaria. The jumps and ledge maneuvers can take practice, so expect to retry them if needed.

Collect the Grapple Beam in Artaria
From the elevator room, follow the route to the statue room containing the Grapple Beam. Collect it, then return to Dairon.

Cross the Dairon E.M.M.I. zone
Save at the lower Network Station. Enter the E.M.M.I. zone from the bottom-right and make your way out through the top-left, following the route markers in the guide.

Grapple the obstruction and restore power
Use the Grapple Beam to pull away the obstructing block. Reach the path near the Map Room and activate the generator. Leave through the generator room, then continue upward to the powered room with the Morph Ball Bomb.

Collect the Morph Ball Bomb
Pick up the Bomb in the room at the end of the route. Nintendo describes the ability as usable in Morph Ball form to destroy walls and damage enemies (Nintendo’s Metroid Dread abilities page).
What the early Bomb changes
The Bomb is useful for both combat and traversal. Nintendo’s Metroid Dread Report vol. 11 explains that an exploding Bomb launches Samus while she is in Morph Ball form. Setting another Bomb in midair and positioning Samus over it as it explodes can lift her higher; repeated bomb jumps can reach places a regular jump cannot.
One optional use of the early pickup is at Kraid. During the boss’s second phase, a Morph Ball launcher can send Samus into Kraid’s belly. This is an alternate encounter interaction, not a requirement for finishing the game.
