Fortnite has two different items behind this search: the Keyblade is a Kingdom Hearts pickaxe cosmetic, while the Kingdom Key is a melee weapon used in matches. The Keyblade was listed for 800 V-Bucks, but its displayed purchase window ended October 1, 2026. Epic also described a limited-time way to obtain the weapon in September 2026; its announcement does not confirm that the weapon is currently available.
First, identify which Kingdom Hearts item you mean

These are separate shop and match items. Buying the Keyblade cosmetic does not unlock the Kingdom Key weapon, and finding the weapon in a match does not grant the cosmetic.
How to get the Keyblade pickaxe
Epic’s Keyblade item listing identifies it as a Kingdom Hearts set pickaxe and lists it for 800 V-Bucks. The displayed purchase period ended October 1, 2026 at 12:00 AM local time (GMT+00:00), before the listing was checked on October 7, 2026.
- Open Fortnite and check the current Item Shop.
- Look for the Keyblade listing. If it is available, review its displayed price and purchase details before buying.
- If it is absent, there is no confirmed purchase route or return date in Epic’s cited listing. Check the shop again later; a past listing does not guarantee that or when the item will return.
Epic’s Item Shop page is another official place to check current listings. Shop availability can change, so the live in-game shop is the practical check rather than the expired date alone.

How to get the Kingdom Key weapon
Level Up Override
In its September 17, 2026 announcement, Epic said the Level Up Override spawned a Mythic Kingdom Key for each squad member at their current location. That describes the announced mechanic, not a guaranteed option in every current mode or match. Check the live mode’s rules and in-match objectives for an active Level Up Override.
September Power Hours
Epic also announced that players would start with a Kingdom Key and Sea-Salt Ice Cream during Power Hours on September 19, 2026, from 2–4 PM ET and 9–11 PM ET. Those scheduled times have passed; they are historical event details, not evidence that the weapon can still be obtained this way.

Epic described the weapon as enabling “a flurry of melee combos” and a lightning attack. Its September 17, 2026 Kingdom Hearts announcement does not confirm the Kingdom Key’s current rotation. If the weapon is not offered by the rules or events in your live mode, the announcement supplies no other current acquisition method.

What to check if you cannot find either item
- Want the pickaxe? Search the live Item Shop for Keyblade. The cited listing’s 800 V-Bucks offer ended October 1, 2026, and gives no future return date.
- Want the weapon? Check the current mode’s rules and active event details for a Level Up Override or another explicitly announced weapon grant. The cited September 2026 event does not prove present availability.
- Do not treat one item as a substitute for the other. The pickaxe is shop cosmetic content; the Kingdom Key is a match weapon.
