Samsung Remote Service lets a Samsung support professional view and assist with your Galaxy phone during a support session. To start, contact Samsung through the support route for your country, request Remote Service, and enter the six-digit code the representative gives you in Smart Tutor or the phone’s Remote Management flow. Don’t accept a code from an unsolicited caller.
What Samsung Remote Service does
Samsung Remote Service is a support session in which a Samsung professional can remotely view and, with your consent, control a compatible Samsung phone or tablet to help troubleshoot problems, adjust settings, or provide other device assistance. Smart Tutor is the connection software used for the session. Depending on your device and region, you may open it directly, find it through Settings, or access it through Samsung Members.

How to start a Samsung remote-support session
Use Samsung’s support channel for your country to request a session. The exact steps and labels can differ by region, phone model, and software version.

- Open the local Samsung support instructions. Use Samsung’s US page, India page, or Canada page, as appropriate for your location. Follow the route offered there rather than assuming another country’s instructions apply.
- Open Smart Tutor or Remote Management. Samsung India documents two example routes: Settings > Tips and user guide > Remote management, and Samsung Members > Support > Quick help > Remote Management. Those labels are regional examples, not universal menu paths.
- Review the app information, terms, and prompts. Install or open Smart Tutor when prompted. Samsung describes accessing it through the Galaxy Store, device settings, or Samsung Members, depending on the device and region.
- Contact Samsung support and request Remote Service. The session is initiated through Samsung support; do not give a code to an unknown caller who contacts you first.
- Enter the six-digit code from the support representative. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect. The code is supplied by the Samsung representative, not generated by an unrelated service.
What you can control during the session
Private apps require a prompt
Samsung says that when a Care Pro tries to open private apps such as Messages, Phonebook, Gallery, or Camera, a security prompt asks whether you want to proceed. You can decline. Samsung also says the technician cannot control the device without your consent; this describes its stated session behavior, not a broader guarantee about data handling.
Stop screen sharing with the connection control
Samsung documents a Smart Tutor control in the notification shade that stops the representative from viewing your screen. The Galaxy Store listing also describes screen lock and application lock features, alongside screen sharing, remote control, and chat. Requirements and regional differences
Do not rely on a single Android minimum for every Galaxy phone. Samsung’s India Remote Service page lists Android 6.0, while its US and UK pages display Android 2.4. These are different regional page requirements, not a universal compatibility rule. Check the support page for your country or the Remote Management option on your phone.

Samsung’s US page also lists high-speed internet as a requirement. Check the local page for the requirements that apply to your session rather than assuming the US details are global.

The documented process uses the Galaxy phone being supported, Smart Tutor software, and an internet connection. Samsung’s instructions do not establish that you need to buy a new phone, router, repair tool, replacement part, or printed guide to use Remote Service.
