To watch Hulu without ads across most of its on-demand library, choose Hulu Premium, also called Hulu (No Ads). Hulu’s Help Center lists it at $18.99 per month or $179.99 per year for new subscriptions, with those prices effective September 23, 2026. It does not remove every ad: a few shows have brief breaks around episodes, and live or linear programming may include ads.
Which Hulu plan removes ads?
Hulu Premium is the standalone choice for fewer interruptions in the Hulu streaming library. Hulu’s plan page lists the monthly option at $18.99; its Help Center’s price table for new subscriptions lists both $18.99 monthly and $179.99 annually. Check Hulu’s current plan page before subscribing, since prices may change. The September 30, 2026 Help Center price table identifies the listed rates as effective September 23, 2026.

What does “No Ads” actually mean?
Hulu Premium removes ads from most of the on-demand streaming library, not every program or type of viewing. Hulu says a few shows are excluded from the no-ads treatment for streaming-rights reasons and play a short ad break before and after each episode. Select live and linear programming may also carry ads. If uninterrupted viewing is essential for a particular title, check its details rather than assuming the plan guarantees no breaks.
Premium includes mobile downloads for select titles, but that feature does not change the ad limitations. See Hulu’s Hulu (No Ads) page for plan details and exceptions.

Bundle prices and included features are from Hulu’s September 30, 2026 plans and prices table. Bundle conditions and exceptions are described on Hulu’s no-ads plan page. A bundle is worth considering if you also want its other streaming services; it is not a way to make live programming universally ad-free.
Choosing monthly or annual billing
The standalone annual price is $179.99 for new subscriptions in Hulu’s September 2026 price table, compared with $18.99 per month. Twelve monthly payments at that listed rate total $227.88, so the annual rate is $47.89 less over a full year if the monthly price remains unchanged. Annual billing means paying upfront; compare the commitment and current terms with the flexibility of monthly billing before choosing.

Switching an existing Hulu subscription
Hulu says subscribers can change plans or add-ons at any time. Start from your Hulu account’s plan page and look for Hulu Premium or an eligible premium bundle. The exact steps can differ depending on how you are billed, so use the plan controls shown for your account and check the displayed price and billing terms before confirming. If your subscription is managed through a third party, the account’s available options may differ.

What you need to subscribe
Hulu’s Help Center says a subscription requires a U.S. location, a valid payment method, a supported device, and an internet download speed of at least 3 Mbps. Check Hulu’s plan and price information for its current requirements.

Will Hulu remain available in 2026?
Yes. In a Help Center article published May 19, 2026, Hulu said Hulu and Hulu Premium subscriptions would continue to be available while Hulu is further integrated into Disney+ by the end of 2026. Eligible subscribers may link a Hulu profile to explore Hulu content in Disney+. Hulu says Live TV is not yet available in Disney+, and some subscriber types are ineligible.
