Cricket includes HBO Max Basic with Ads with its Supreme Unlimited wireless plan. To use the benefit, sign in to Max through Cricket’s provider-login flow with an online Cricket account. The streaming access is part of the wireless plan—not a separate free subscription—and the included tier is ad-supported.
Which Cricket plan includes HBO Max?
Cricket’s current plan listing identifies Supreme Unlimited as the plan that includes HBO Max Basic with Ads; its other listed plans do not include the benefit. The live selector lists Supreme Unlimited at $55 per month with Auto Pay and $60 for the first month. Your total can depend on line count and account details, so check the amount shown for your account on Cricket’s plan page before changing plans. The included streaming service is not a standalone subscription that you can keep without qualifying Cricket service.
How to activate HBO Max through Cricket
- Confirm your plan. Make sure your Cricket line is on Supreme Unlimited, the plan Cricket lists as eligible.
- Sign in to your online Cricket account. If you do not have one, create an account or use your myCricket account before starting activation.
- Open Max. Use the Max app or website and choose the option to sign in through a provider. Labels may change, but the key is to use provider sign-in rather than starting a new direct subscription.
- Select Cricket. Choose Cricket as your provider and follow the prompts to connect your Cricket account and create or link the streaming account.
- Verify access before changing other billing. Once the Cricket benefit is active, confirm that you can stream through Max before canceling an existing subscription billed elsewhere.

The right approach depends on who bills you. If HBO or WarnerMedia Direct bills your existing subscription, Cricket says you can link the existing account and cancel that direct billing when the Cricket benefit activates. Do not cancel first: wait until Cricket access is working and confirm the billing change so you do not interrupt service unnecessarily.

If another provider bills you, Cricket says you can keep that subscription or switch to the Cricket benefit. If you switch, you may need to contact the other provider to stop its billing. Linking accounts and changing billing are separate from simply having an eligible Cricket plan, so check both your Max access and your billing account.
What does the included benefit provide?
The benefit is HBO Max Basic with Ads, not an ad-free tier. Cricket’s offer information also notes that video on the phone plan may be limited to SD, so do not assume the included benefit promises HD streaming or an ad-free experience. What happens if you change or cancel your Cricket plan?
Cricket says access to the Cricket-provided benefit ends if you move to a plan that does not qualify or cancel the eligible plan. Its offer terms also say programming and the benefit may change or end. If you are planning a plan change, check your streaming access and billing arrangements rather than assuming the benefit will continue.
Is switching to Supreme Unlimited worth it for Max?
Compare the full Cricket wireless cost with what you pay now, not just the streaming benefit. The included tier has ads, and Cricket notes that phone-plan video may be limited to SD. If you already subscribe through another provider, weigh the convenience of linking an existing account against the work of changing billing; you may also choose to keep the other subscription.

Cricket describes the benefit as having a value of almost $120 a year, but that is Cricket’s promotional valuation, not a guarantee of savings. Whether changing plans makes sense depends on your wireless needs, the price shown for your account, and whether the included streaming tier suits you.
