To follow a live T20 match, find it in a cricket service’s live scores or fixtures, then open its live commentary or over-by-over view. Use the scorecard to see how the innings is being built, and a statistics database when you want historical T20 records. Coverage and page features vary, so check that the service lists the competition you’re following.
Find the live T20 cricket score
Start with a service’s live-score or fixtures page and locate the match. ESPNcricinfo’s landing page groups live scores, results and fixtures across international, domestic and other cricket, which can help you find a match that is not immediately prominent.
Before settling on a page, check that it lists the exact match and competition. No single service is established as covering every tournament, and coverage can change.

Open ball-by-ball commentary
A live score shows the match state; commentary gives the delivery-by-delivery sequence and more context about how the score changes. Open the match page and choose its live or full-commentary view. On the cited Cricbuzz match page, the available views include Live, Overs, Graphs and Full Commentary. An over-by-over view is useful for scanning a completed over; full commentary is better when you want the detail of individual deliveries.

Read the live cricket scorecard
Use the scorecard to understand how the innings total was made, rather than relying on the headline score alone. A detailed T20 scorecard can include:
- Batting: runs, balls faced, fours, sixes and strike rate.
- Bowling: overs, runs conceded and wickets.
- Innings context: extras, fall of wickets, powerplay runs and partnerships.
The Cricbuzz scorecard example shows these kinds of batting, bowling and innings-context figures. Partnerships and fall-of-wickets details can help explain whether a total came from steady scoring, a key stand or a late collapse.

For records and comparisons across matches, use a statistics database rather than a live match feed. ESPNcricinfo Statsguru describes coverage of international matches and men’s T20 statistics, with batting, bowling, fielding, partnership, team and aggregate records. Its filters and record categories are suited to historical queries, not following the next delivery in a live match.
Check that the query covers the format, competition and category you need. The stated men’s T20 coverage should not be taken as confirmation of equivalent coverage for every T20 competition or for women’s records.

| What you need | What to check |
|---|---|
| Live match state | Whether the exact match and competition appear in live scores or fixtures. |
| Delivery detail | Whether the match page offers live commentary, full commentary or an over-by-over view. |
| How an innings unfolded | Whether its scorecard includes batter and bowler figures, partnerships and fall of wickets. |
| Past records | Whether the statistics tool’s filters cover the format and competition you want. |
There is no established universal ranking for these services, and the available evidence does not establish which updates fastest. Choose based on match coverage and the level of detail the page actually provides.
