If available, match alerts can keep you updated without leaving the score page open. Audio may also be an option for some tournaments, but it is not universal.
Follow the match with a scorecard and commentary
- Find the exact fixture. Search the teams or competition on Cricbuzz’s live-scores page or in the ESPNcricinfo app or site. Confirm the competition and match: listings change, and similarly named fixtures can be easy to confuse.
- Open the match scorecard. The headline score gives the basic state of play; the scorecard shows the innings and player figures.
- Read ball-by-ball commentary for context. ESPNcricinfo describes full scorecards and ball-by-ball commentary as app features. Text commentary helps explain how the score changed, not just what it is.
Cricbuzz also publishes match score states and promotes fast score updates. Those are service descriptions, not independent tests of update speed or latency.
Use alerts if you do not want to keep checking
Where the chosen service supports match notifications, enable an alert for the specific fixture. Cricbuzz promotes smart alerts, and ESPNcricinfo lists alerts among its app features. Availability and settings can vary by app and device; alerts may reduce repeated checking, but no arrival time is guaranteed.
Check whether audio or video is available separately
Audio commentary
If listening suits you better than reading, check the tournament’s official app or event page for live audio commentary. The ICC app has described live audio commentary for ICC tournaments during a particular event period; that does not establish audio coverage for every match or competition. See the ICC app listing for its event-specific feature description.

Video streaming
Score coverage and streaming rights are separate. A stream being unavailable does not mean a text score is unavailable, and a score listing does not guarantee video access. To check for another legitimate stream, consult the event’s official broadcaster information for your territory and verify the specific series or match. The ICC’s broadcaster listing for the 2023 Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup illustrates how providers vary by region; it is an older event listing, not a current directory. Cricbuzz also says streaming availability depends on regional rights.
Choose an option based on what you need

Service pages describe features, but they do not establish a controlled comparison of update speed, accuracy, accessibility, or advertising. Choose by match coverage and the format you want rather than assuming one service is best on those measures.
