To diagnose disconnects during a continuous meditation stream, first note the exact YouTube Live Control Room error and its time, then test the encoder, repeat a controlled stream over Ethernet, and measure sustained upload under the real workload. This sequence helps distinguish a stream-configuration problem from Wi-Fi trouble or an Airtel connection fault; the title alone cannot establish which is responsible.
1. Capture the disconnect and YouTube’s exact error
Open YouTube Live Control Room and check Stream health. YouTube displays errors next to the Health Indicator, and its live metrics help show what happened during the broadcast. Record the error text and timestamp each time the stream drops; those details can be compared with encoder logs, local recordings, upload measurements, and the Airtel ONT/router indicators.
Use YouTube’s live streaming error messages guidance to interpret a specific warning. A codec, bitrate, frame-rate, or keyframe warning points toward stream configuration; an outbound connection problem calls for network diagnosis. Avoid changing several encoder settings at once, because that makes it harder to tell what resolved the issue.

Before changing Airtel settings, check whether the encoder is still producing a healthy stream locally. Confirm the encoder software is current, look at CPU load around the disconnect, and inspect the local audio, video, or archive if you record one. Note whether the encoder itself reports an error or stops sending.

YouTube’s live-stream troubleshooting flow distinguishes an unhealthy encoder from a healthy-looking encoder whose outbound internet connection may be failing. If the source or encoder is unhealthy, correct that first or run a controlled test with another encoder. If local output looks normal while YouTube loses the incoming stream, continue with the network tests.
3. Repeat a controlled test over Ethernet
Connect the streaming computer directly to the Airtel ONT/router with an RJ45 Ethernet cable and repeat a test using the same encoder and stream settings. Airtel identifies Cat5/Cat6 Ethernet as a computer-to-router connection and notes that wired connections can avoid Wi-Fi interference and be more stable.

- Wired test stable, Wi-Fi test drops: focus on Wi-Fi coverage, interference, or congestion between the computer and router.
- Wired test also drops: Wi-Fi is less likely to be the cause. Check sustained upload, encoder/network logs, and the fiber service.
A Cat5e/Cat6 cable can be useful if you do not have one for this isolation test. It enables a wired test; it does not repair a fault on Airtel’s fiber line or service.
4. Measure sustained upload during the stream
For live streaming, upload capacity is the relevant direction. YouTube says the total stream bitrate must not exceed available upload bandwidth and recommends leaving about 20% headroom. Measure sustained upload during the actual streaming workload and around the time of a failure, rather than relying on the plan’s advertised speed or one best-case test.

Include all upload activity when assessing headroom: other people or devices uploading data, cloud backups, and any simultaneous primary or backup stream output. If available upload fluctuates or is too close to the stream’s total bitrate, reduce the stream bitrate and retest. A fast download result does not establish that the connection can sustain the required upload.
5. Match encoder settings to YouTube’s guidance
Check the settings against YouTube’s current encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions guidance for the stream’s actual resolution, frame rate, and codec. YouTube recommends constant bitrate (CBR) and a 2-second keyframe interval; do not exceed 4 seconds. For H.264, its recommended bitrate is 6 Mbps for 720p at 30 fps and 14 Mbps for 1080p at 30 fps. These are encoder recommendations, not measurements or guarantees of the upload Airtel provides at your home.

Use the specific Live Control Room warning to identify a mismatch, then change the relevant setting. If the sustained upload cannot support the selected stream reliably, lower the resolution or bitrate and run another test. Recheck Stream health after each controlled change.
6. Check the Airtel connection and escalate persistent wired faults
Check that the ONT/router has power, connectors are seated, and the fiber patch lead is not damaged or sharply bent. Fiber cable is delicate: Airtel’s advice to check a patch-cord connector is not a reason to pull, force, or sharply bend the lead. Indicator meanings differ by modem model, so use the device documentation rather than assuming a particular light pattern proves a specific fault.

If appropriate, reboot the ONT/router once, then wait for the service to reconnect before testing again. Airtel also points customers to the My Wi-Fi and Optimize Wi-Fi diagnostics in the Airtel Thanks app. Its home troubleshooting guide was updated May 21, 2026.
If disconnects continue over Ethernet after these checks, contact Airtel through the app or its support channel. Give them the failure timestamps, observed ONT/router light states, and wired upload-test results so they can investigate the service side. Repeated encoder changes cannot repair a physical or provider-side fault.

What to record if the cause is still unclear
The root cause cannot be identified from “Airtel Xstream Fiber” alone. If the tests do not isolate it, keep a short incident log with the ONT/router model, encoder and operating system, wired or Wi-Fi connection, resolution, frame rate, codec, bitrate, YouTube’s exact error, timestamp, and upload-test result. That gives YouTube, encoder, or Airtel support concrete evidence to investigate.
