If your Shokz headphones won’t pair or keep disconnecting, first check the exact model, then remove old Bluetooth pairings and try pairing again. For OpenRun-family models, pairing mode starts with the headphones off: hold Volume+ for 5–7 seconds until you hear “Pairing” and see the LED flash red and blue. Button sequences vary by model, so use your model’s support instructions before resetting.
Before troubleshooting, identify your Shokz model
Shokz gives different instructions for OpenRun, OpenRun Pro, OpenMove and OpenRun Pro 2. Check the model name printed on the headphones or shown in your Bluetooth device list, and follow the matching support page rather than assuming one model’s reset sequence applies to another.
OpenRun was formerly called Aeropex; Shokz lists Bluetooth 5.1 for OpenRun and Bluetooth 5.0 for Aeropex in its OpenRun support information.

Pair Shokz headphones with a phone or computer
OpenRun family
- Turn the headphones off.
- Press and hold Volume+ for 5–7 seconds. Keep holding until the voice prompt says “Pairing” and the LED flashes red and blue.
- Open the phone or computer’s Bluetooth settings and select the matching Shokz device name.
Those voice and LED signals indicate that the OpenRun-family headphones are discoverable. If they do not appear in the device list, check that you have entered pairing mode rather than simply turning the headphones on. See Shokz’s OpenRun troubleshooting instructions.

OpenRun Pro 2
Start with the headphones off, then hold Volume+ until you hear the pairing prompt and see the LED alternate red and blue. In Bluetooth settings, choose “OpenRun Pro 2 by Shokz.” A successful connection is indicated by a prompt and a blue LED. Follow the OpenRun Pro 2 support instructions for this model’s pairing flow.
If Shokz headphones still won’t connect
Remove saved pairings and restart the device
On the phones, computers or other devices the headset has connected to before, remove the Shokz headphones from each saved Bluetooth list. Restart those devices, then put the headphones into pairing mode and try connecting again. Shokz recommends clearing saved pairings and restarting connected devices as part of its OpenRun Pro connectivity troubleshooting.

Charge briefly, then retry
If the battery may be depleted, charge the headphones for a few minutes before trying to pair. Shokz includes brief charging in its OpenRun Pro connectivity sequence; it is a troubleshooting step, not a guarantee that battery condition is the cause.

Reset OpenRun Pro if pairing still fails
Shokz’s documented reset sequence below is for OpenRun Pro. It clears connected devices, so you will need to pair the headset again afterward.

- Turn the headphones off.
- Hold Volume+ for 5–7 seconds until pairing mode begins and the LED flashes red and blue.
- Press and hold the multifunction, Volume+ and Volume− buttons together for 3–5 seconds, until you hear beeps or feel vibrations indicating the reset.
- Turn the headphones off, enter pairing mode again and connect to the desired device.
Use the OpenRun Pro support page to confirm these instructions, and check the relevant model’s support page before trying a reset on other Shokz headphones.
If the connection problem is on Windows
Shokz’s troubleshooting article, published November 3, 2021, says updating the Bluetooth driver can often resolve some pairing problems on Windows 7 and Windows 10. The article does not name a specific driver utility, adapter or current Windows settings path, so use your computer maker’s or Bluetooth hardware maker’s guidance for the appropriate driver. The advice is limited to the Windows versions named in that article; it does not establish a fix for every Windows connection problem. See Shokz’s Windows pairing article.

If your Shokz headphones keep disconnecting
Remove saved Shokz pairings from previously connected devices, restart those devices, and reconnect using the model-specific pairing steps above. If the problem continues, reset only according to the instructions for your model. The available Shokz guidance does not establish that every recurring disconnection has the same cause.
Connecting Shokz headphones to a TV
A Bluetooth transmitter is a separate, narrow case: Shokz mentions one when a TV does not have Bluetooth. It is not a general remedy for headphones that will not pair with a phone or computer. See Shokz’s OpenRun Pro FAQ.

When to contact Shokz
If the model-specific pairing steps, clearing saved pairings, restarting, charging and an applicable reset do not help, contact Shokz support or use the warranty channel for your product. A connection failure alone does not establish that the headphones have a hardware defect.
