To fix lag in Honor of Kings, first work out whether the problem is network delay, choppy device performance, or unreliable touch input. Test a different stable Wi-Fi or mobile connection, then check background activity, heat, power settings, storage, and updates. These checks help narrow down the cause; no single network type or setting is guaranteed to fix every case.
Tell network lag apart from frame drops and missed touches
Repeatedly high in-game ping, rubber-banding, delayed actions, or disconnections can point to an unstable connection. Choppy animation or freezes may instead involve the phone’s performance. Missed movement or skill inputs can also be a touch-screen issue. These symptoms overlap, so treat them as clues rather than a diagnosis.
The game’s privacy policy lists network round-trip time, Wi-Fi strength, mobile-signal strength, and frame information among performance and network diagnostic data. That distinction is useful, but the policy does not publish a typical or recommended ping value. See the Honor of Kings privacy policy; do not rely on a universal “good ping” cutoff.

- Note when the problem occurs and, if available, check the game’s network indicator during a match.
- Pause active downloads and uploads on your phone and other devices, then see whether the problem changes.
- Try another stable Wi-Fi or mobile network if one is available. Compare the same symptoms rather than assuming Wi-Fi or mobile data is always faster or better.
- If the problem follows one connection but not the other, that is a useful clue about where to investigate. A connection test cannot guarantee that changing networks will solve the issue.
HONOR’s device-support guidance says weak signal or low network speed can contribute to gameplay delays, freezes, or disconnections, and recommends trying a stable Wi-Fi or mobile connection. Reduce device-side lag and freezing
Close background activity and restart
Close apps you do not need and pause downloads or file copying while playing. Then restart the phone and test again. HONOR notes that simultaneous background apps may contribute to lag or freezing; the restart also gives you a simple way to check whether a temporary device problem is involved.
Check available storage and updates
Look at the phone’s available storage and free space if it is nearly full. HONOR gives different storage guidance for gameplay and slow-loading symptoms, so neither figure should be treated as a universal Honor of Kings requirement. Install available game and operating-system updates as well. The appropriate game version and device requirements may vary by region and change over time; check the official Honor of Kings site and the listing for your regional version.

Test power-saving settings
If your phone has power-saving mode enabled, switch it off temporarily if the device’s settings allow, then compare performance in a match. HONOR recommends disabling power-saving mode where appropriate. The exact setting and its effect depend on the phone.

Check whether heat is lowering frame performance
If the phone becomes hot and animation starts to stutter, stop playing long enough for it to cool. If the game offers graphics settings, try reducing demanding options and see whether frame performance changes. HONOR says overheating protection can affect system performance; its guidance does not say cooling the phone lowers network ping. Avoid playing while the device is uncomfortably hot.

A phone cooler is only a possible accessory to consider if heat coincides with frame drops. It will not repair a weak or unstable connection, and the available guidance does not establish that a cooler will resolve lag.
Separate touch-input problems from lag
If the game looks smooth and the connection seems stable but taps or swipes still miss, check the phone’s touch settings and whether a screen protector is affecting input. HONOR says a protector thicker than 0.2 mm may affect touch sensitivity on supported HONOR devices. That specification is not a general rule for every phone brand, so check your own device maker’s guidance.

Check for a game-side problem and contact support
If the issue persists across connections, test the game on another phone if you can. HONOR’s slow-loading guidance says the same problem on another phone makes a game-server problem possible, not certain. A second-device test is a clue, not confirmation of an outage.

Check in-game notices and official game channels for service updates. The Google Play listing for Honor of Kings says local servers are used to provide smooth gameplay; that is the publisher’s description, not a guarantee that a particular server is trouble-free. The Google Play listing also provides support@honorofkings.com. Use the support route available for your region and include what you tested, which device and connection you used, and whether the problem was high ping, frame freezing, or missed touch input.
