If your OPPO F35 Pro 5G is losing charge unusually quickly, first work out whether the drain happens during use, while idle, or mainly in areas with weak cellular reception. Then check battery usage and High Performance Mode before changing other settings. The phone is listed in India as model CPH2829; its installed ColorOS version can affect menu names and paths.
Confirm your model and establish when the drain happens
OPPO’s India specifications identify the F35 Pro 5G as model CPH2829 and list ColorOS 16.5. Check your phone’s model and installed ColorOS version before following a menu path; software and labels can vary by update and market. OPPO lists an 8000 mAh typical battery capacity and a 7780 mAh rated capacity, but neither figure guarantees a particular screen-on time or number of days between charges. For a useful comparison, record the starting and ending charge percentage over a similar period. Note whether the drop occurs during active use, overnight or other idle periods, after an app or system update, or mainly where mobile reception is poor. OPPO says actual battery life varies with network configuration, usage patterns, and other factors; its controlled endurance figures are not a promise of your day-to-day result. Check which apps or components are using battery
Open Settings and look for the Battery or Battery usage view. Review the list for an app or system component consuming an unexpectedly large share, especially if the change began after installing or updating an app. Menu names and locations vary by ColorOS version, so use the labels on your own phone rather than relying on an unverified exact path. If one app stands out, check its activity and permissions or temporarily limit its background use, then observe whether the drain changes.
Turn off High Performance Mode if you do not need it
OPPO warns that High Performance Mode can drain the battery quickly and may cause overheating. If it is enabled and you do not need the extra performance, switch it off. OPPO’s general guidance gives these paths, while cautioning that menus may vary by device:

- If drain is concentrated around a recently installed or updated app, check whether its background activity aligns with the battery-usage list.
- If it is worse in places with poor mobile reception, compare usage in a location with stronger signal. OPPO identifies network configuration as one factor in actual battery life.
- If it occurs during heavy screen use, try reducing brightness or shortening demanding display sessions and compare the result.
Restart the phone and check for official updates
If the drain started suddenly, restart the phone as a low-risk check. You can also check for software updates through the phone’s update settings or OPPO’s support channels. An update is not guaranteed to solve battery drain. Back up important data before considering a reset, and do not make a factory reset the first troubleshooting step.
