For the Nebula P1 (model D2431), begin with the symptom: refocus a blurry image, check the indicator light for power problems, isolate HDMI cable and source issues, and uncover and clean the TOF sensor if its error appears. The steps below follow Nebula’s model-specific support guidance, accessed October 4, 2026; menu names may vary by software version. For unresolved faults—especially a white power light with no image—contact support rather than attempting an internal repair.
Fix a blurry or out-of-focus image
- Short-press the remote’s Focus button to start autofocus. Alternatively, open All Settings > Projector > Focus > Start Auto Focus.
- If the image is still blurry, long-press the Focus button, select Manual Focus, then use the remote’s left and right arrows until the picture is clear.
Nebula’s P1 focus instructions describe these focus controls.
Diagnose a P1 that will not turn on or charge
First make sure the adapter is plugged in and both ends of the cable are fully connected, then press Power. Use the indicator light to choose the next check:
- No light and no response: Test the adapter and cable with another device. If they seem to work but the P1 remains unresponsive, contact customer service.
- Steady red light: Continue pressing the projector’s Power button and the remote’s On button. If nothing changes, contact support.
- Rapidly flashing red light: Nebula says the adapter or cable may not be supplying enough power. Try the original adapter and cable first. If testing substitutes, support specifies another 100W adapter and 5A cable; verify the connector and device compatibility before using or buying them.
- White light but no image: Nebula classifies this as a possible software or hardware problem and directs owners to support.
These are diagnostic checks, not a promise that a cable or adapter change will repair the projector. Nebula’s power guidance does not give owners an internal repair procedure.

Fix an HDMI connection with no signal
Isolate the cable, source, and output setting rather than assuming the projector is faulty:
- Try a different HDMI cable.
- Connect another HDMI source to the P1.
- Connect the original source device to a television over HDMI.
- Adjust the source device’s HDMI output resolution to match the projector.
Nebula recommends testing another cable but does not specify a particular cable model. See its HDMI troubleshooting steps.

Clear a TOF sensor error
Check that the time-of-flight (TOF) sensor is not covered. If it is dirty, gently wipe its lens with a soft tissue or eyeglasses cloth, then restart the projector. Nebula’s TOF guidance covers these external checks; it does not describe opening the projector or replacing the sensor.
Recover from a failed firmware update
Try the update again on a stronger Wi-Fi connection or using a cellular hotspot. The P1 has separate update paths for its system, speakers, and remote:

- System: All Settings > System > About > System Update. The projector reboots during the update. Nebula says to allow for a 2–3 minute delay after the update and reboot.
- Speaker software: All Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Speaker L/R > Accessory Update. Nebula says this process takes about 25 minutes.
- Remote software: All Settings > Remotes & Accessories > Nebula Remote > Remote Update.
If an update is unavailable, retry later. If it continues to fail, note the serial number at All Settings > System > About > Status > Serial Number and contact support. Follow the matching steps in Nebula’s firmware update guidance.
Troubleshoot crashing apps and slow performance
If an app crashes
Try another Wi-Fi network, verify the projector’s time zone, and clear the affected app’s cache. If the problem persists, a factory reset is the last step: open Settings > System > About > Reset > Factory Reset. A reset resets the device, and Nebula does not guarantee that it will resolve every app fault. Its P1 troubleshooting guidance includes these app checks.

If playback or menus lag
Identify whether the delay affects video playback or menu navigation. Nebula says playback lag may relate to the network or app. Menu lag may be more noticeable during initial startup, after a firmware upgrade, or while apps update in the background.
- Update firmware and apps.
- You can disable automatic app updates, but then check for updates manually.
- On Google TV, Apps Only Mode prevents downloading new apps while enabled.
If lag continues, send support the app or circumstances involved, the serial number, a video of the issue, connected-device details, and remaining storage. Nebula lists this information in its delay troubleshooting guidance.

Correct image geometry or reconnect the remote
Correct keystone distortion or a shifted image
Open All Settings > Projector > Keystone correction, then choose Start Auto Keystone Correction or Perform Manual Keystone Correction. The P1’s projector head does not automatically stabilize the projected image when the device moves or shakes, so repositioning or correcting the image may be needed after moving it. Nebula’s P1 FAQ gives these menu options.
The P1 user guide also links videos covering focus, keystone correction, positioning and resizing, and screen fit.
Reconnect the remote
The remote is paired when shipped. If it is not paired, press its microphone button and follow the on-screen prompts, as described on the user guide page.
When to contact Nebula support
Contact support if the projector remains unresponsive after basic power checks, shows a white light without an image, or has a persistent fault after the relevant external checks. The P1 guide lists US support at 1-800-988-7973, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM PT, and service@soundcore.com. The Nebula product support page also lists support@seenebula.com. Confirm the current contact route on the official page before calling or emailing, as support details can change.
