If your BONAOK microphone connects to your car but you hear nothing, check the audio route—not just whether Bluetooth says “connected.” On the G50, the phone pairs to the microphone over Bluetooth, while the microphone sends the mixed sound to the car radio over FM. Turn on FM transmission, match the radio to the frequency shown on the microphone, and check the microphone and music volume controls. The G20 has different options, including FM and AUX, so identify your model before following steps.
First, identify which BONAOK microphone you have
Connection steps vary by model. The G50 car setup described in its manual uses Bluetooth between the phone and microphone, then FM between the microphone and car radio. The G20 manual describes both FM and a wired AUX connection. Check the model marking on the microphone or its packaging before choosing a procedure.
Fix no sound on a BONAOK G50
- Turn on FM transmission on the microphone. The G50 manual lists 87.5, 88.5, 89.5, and 90.5 MHz. Use a frequency supported by your exact model; the microphone should indicate the frequency in use. BONAOK G50 manual; G50 manual PDF.
- Tune the car radio to that same FM frequency. Select the radio tuner as the car’s audio source and set it to the identical frequency. If you hear static or interference, try another frequency from the G50’s supported list, then retune the car radio to match.
- Pair the phone to the microphone over Bluetooth. In this setup, pair the phone with the G50—not just with the car stereo—and play music from the phone. Bluetooth carries the phone’s music to the microphone; FM carries the resulting audio to the car radio. The G50 manual says its Bluetooth indicator stays on and a voice prompt confirms connection.
- Check both volume controls and the MIC/speaker state. Raise the microphone volume and music volume as needed. The G50 manual says a long press on the VOL-Music control turns MIC and speaker volume on or off; check that the control has not disabled the output.
- Test again with music and speech. Music confirms the phone-to-microphone and FM-to-car path; speaking into the microphone checks the vocal path as well. If neither comes through, recheck the FM frequency and selected car source before treating Bluetooth pairing as the only issue.

The G20 manual documents two ways to send audio to a car stereo. Use only a route and ports supported by your G20 and car.

FM connection
- Set the microphone to FM mode.
- Choose an available, clear radio frequency and tune the car stereo to the same frequency.
- Check that the microphone is not muted and that its microphone volume is raised. The G20 manual’s no-sound troubleshooting also advises checking the connection mode.
AUX connection
- Connect the microphone’s AUX output to the car’s AUX input with a compatible cable.
- Select AUX as the source on the car stereo.
- Check mute state and microphone volume if vocals remain inaudible.
AUX requires a compatible input on the car and output on the microphone. FM avoids a cable but depends on finding a usable frequency. The manuals describe the connection procedures, but do not establish a measured sound-quality advantage for either route.

Use what you can hear to narrow down the fault
- Neither music nor vocals reach the car: Check the car’s selected source, the FM transmitter state and matching frequency, or the G20 AUX cable and source selection. On a G50, also confirm the phone is paired to the microphone.
- Music plays through the car, but vocals do not: Check microphone mute and mic-volume settings. The G20 manual names low or muted microphone output as a possible no-sound cause; the G50 manual documents a control that can turn MIC and speaker volume on or off.
- The microphone’s own speaker plays vocals, but the car does not: Focus on the car-facing FM or AUX link. This points toward the transmission or car input path rather than proving the microphone is defective.
When to contact BONAOK support
If the model-specific connection and volume checks do not restore sound, contact the seller or BONAOK support with the model number and a description of which audio works—for example, whether music reaches the car, whether the microphone’s own speaker works, and which connection route you tried. The G50 manual lists supportus@bonaok.com for the US and support-eu@bonaok.com for the EU.
