Search the exact title in a cross-service guide such as JustWatch or in Google TV, check that the search is set to your country, and note whether the result is included with a subscription, free, ad-supported, for rent, or for purchase. Before paying, confirm the title, plan eligibility, and price in the provider’s own app or site.
Find a title across streaming services
- Open JustWatch or another cross-service availability guide and search the movie or show’s exact title. JustWatch describes its service as a way to search across platforms and maintain a watchlist across services.
- Check the country setting before relying on the results. Streaming availability differs by market, and Google says Google TV discovery can depend on where you live, which services you select, and the device you use.
- Read the offer type carefully. A title may be available through a paid subscription, free viewing, ad-supported viewing, rental, or purchase. A listing does not mean it is included in a subscription you already have.
- Open the provider’s app or title page to verify the current offer, price, plan eligibility, and the exact season or episode before subscribing, renting, or buying.
JustWatch’s Google Play listing, updated September 25, 2026, says it lists legal offers across 85+ services in the United States and more than 90,000 movies and shows. Those are JustWatch’s own figures, not an independent audit of coverage or completeness.
Use Google TV to find where a title is available
Google TV can search titles on compatible TVs and in its mobile app; you do not need to buy dedicated hardware just to look up a title. Its available services and interface can vary by region and device.

- Install the app for the streaming service you want to check.
- Search for the movie or show and open its details page.
- Review the listed “ways to watch,” then choose a service and check its offer.
In the Google TV mobile app
- Search for the title.
- Select the streaming app shown for it.
- Tap Watch to open the provider’s app and continue there.
Adding or linking only the services you subscribe to can make recommendations and subscription options more relevant. Unlinking a service in Google TV does not cancel that subscription; cancellation must be handled with the provider.

Which search method should you use?
| Method | Best for | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Cross-service guide such as JustWatch | Finding options across several providers and offer types in one search | Country, services covered, subscription versus rental or purchase, and how current the listing is |
| Google TV search | Searching on a supported TV or mobile app and opening a provider | Device and regional support, selected or linked services, and whether the title opens in a service you use |
| Provider’s own app or site | Confirming an offer before you spend money | Current availability, plan eligibility, price, and the specific season or episode |
Use a guide or Google TV to discover possible options, then verify the offer directly with the provider. Availability can change by country, provider, plan, season, and date, so a result is a lead rather than a guarantee of current terms.
