Use the NFL’s Ways to Watch guide: enter the ZIP code for the place you’ll watch, select the TV provider or streaming services you have, and check the weekly or team schedule for each game’s listed network or service. Recheck the listing near kickoff because flex scheduling can change some nationally scheduled games.

Find the game listed for your location

  1. Open the NFL Ways to Watch guide. Go to nfl.com/ways-to-watch.
  2. Enter your viewing ZIP code. Use the ZIP code for the location where you plan to watch, not simply the ZIP code associated with your account.
  3. Select the services you actually have. Include your TV provider and streaming services, as applicable. The guide uses your location and selected services to personalize availability.
  4. Open the weekly schedule or your team’s schedule. Find the matchup and note the network or service shown beside it.
  5. Check again close to kickoff. The NFL says flex scheduling can change games initially assigned to Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, and Thursday Night Football.

The listing is more useful than a generic national schedule: local Sunday afternoon coverage depends on your market, while other games may be carried by a nationally scheduled network or streaming service.

Where different NFL games are carried

The NFL’s regular-season access guidance, updated August 25, 2025, describes these typical assignments. Treat them as a starting point, not a substitute for the live listing for your ZIP code and game.

Game or viewing need NFL guidance What to check
Local-market Sunday afternoon game CBS or FOX The specific game assigned to your market; use the ZIP-code guide.
Sunday Night Football NBC Recheck the schedule in case of flex scheduling.
Monday Night Football ESPN or ABC Check the game’s current listing; assignments may change under flex scheduling.
Thursday Night Football or the Black Friday game Amazon Prime Video Check the current listing for that game.
Out-of-market Sunday afternoon game NFL guidance points to NFL Sunday Ticket, available on YouTube TV. This is a different viewing need from watching the local-market game.
Live local or primetime game through NFL+ NFL+ on a phone or tablet These live games are not a general live-TV replacement; NFL says they may not be cast.
Game audio, replays, or RedZone NFL+ includes live audio for every game; NFL+ Premium adds full and condensed replays of every game and RedZone. Audio and replay access do not mean every game is available live on a television.

The NFL’s season-level access guidance also names NFL Network, YouTube, and Netflix for certain games. Since those are not every-week assignments, use the game-specific listing rather than assuming a particular matchup will be on one of them.

Choose the right option for your situation

If you want your local Sunday afternoon game

Look for the game assigned to CBS or FOX in the personalized schedule. If you receive a local broadcast station over the air, an indoor HDTV antenna may be one way to watch that station; reception depends on your address and is not guaranteed. An antenna does not identify which game is assigned to your market or provide subscription-only streams.

If you want a Sunday afternoon game outside your market

NFL guidance says NFL+ does not provide live out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. It points viewers to NFL Sunday Ticket, available on YouTube TV, for those games.

If you plan to watch with NFL+

Check the device restriction before relying on it: the NFL says live local and primetime regular-season and postseason games on NFL+ are for phones or tablets and may not be cast. NFL+ audio and NFL+ Premium replay and RedZone features are separate from live television access.

Why your schedule can differ from someone else’s

Availability depends on both where you are watching and which provider or services you have. A friend in another market may see a different Sunday afternoon game, and a game listed for a service you do not subscribe to may not be available through your selected options. The personalized guide is designed to account for those inputs; recheck it for the specific week because schedules and broadcast assignments can change.
