These Switch games approach cooking in different ways. Match the premise and pace to how you want to play rather than assuming every cooking game is relaxing.

Compare pace, story, and who is playing
- For a gentler solo routine: Good Pizza, Great Pizza is the clearest fit in this group; Nintendo describes it as soothing and lists one player.
- For a story-first experience: Venba connects cooking to a family narrative and branching conversations.
- For running and decorating a restaurant: Cooking Pizzeria Edition focuses on business routines, recipes, and customization.
- For energetic group coordination: Overcooked! 2 is the more chaotic choice. Its player count varies by mode, so check whether you plan to share one system, play locally wirelessly, or play online.
Do not confuse Switch play modes with multiplayer support. TV, tabletop, and handheld describe how you can use the console; they do not tell you how many people the game supports. Check the separate player and online-play details on the listing.
Find a game in the Nintendo store
- Open the Nintendo store for your region and search the exact game title. For a particular package, include its edition name—for example, “Overcooked! 2 – Gourmet Edition.” You can also browse the game catalog, but a title search is more precise.
- On the game page, verify the platform and edition, supported languages, player count, play modes, and online features. Read the description for the pace and style of play rather than relying on “cozy” alone.
- Check whether the listed format is digital or a game card and read what that edition includes. For instance, Nintendo’s US Good Pizza, Great Pizza page notes missing Switch content, and its UK Overcooked! 2 page lists a game-card format.
- Before purchasing, confirm local availability, current price, edition contents, and any online-service terms. Store formats and details can differ by region and change over time.
Check multiplayer, accessories, and Switch compatibility
Nintendo marks Overcooked! 2 as supporting online play and references Nintendo Switch Online. If online play is important, check the service terms that apply in your region. Nintendo also notes that compatibility and play experience may differ on Switch Lite and that some software may require additional accessories. Review the individual game listing against your console and controller setup.
