In GTA Online’s October 2026 Halloween event, Jack O’Lanterns are a collectible activity, and Rockstar says collecting them earns 2X GTA$ and RP. Rockstar’s announcement confirms the activity and bonus, but does not publish this year’s lantern count, locations, or a route. You can collect them during the event, but you’ll need a current, independently verified map for exact pins.
What Halloween collectibles are available in GTA Online?
Rockstar’s October 1, 2026 announcement lists Jack O’Lantern collection among the Halloween activities available throughout October. The announcement says the activity earns 2X GTA$ and RP; it does not specify whether the bonus is paid per lantern or how the reward is calculated.

The same announcement names UFO Business Battles, where players extract Spaceship Parts from Fort Zancudo, as another activity with a 2X GTA$ and RP bonus. That is a separate activity, not a Jack O’Lantern collection route.

How to find and collect Jack O’Lanterns
Rockstar confirms the collectible activity but does not provide a 2026 map, coordinates, total number of lanterns, or complete route. Without verified current-event pins, the reliable approach is to use the in-game map and explore while the Halloween activity is live; do not assume older community maps or counts match this year’s event.

- Check the current event period. The October 1, 2026 Rockstar announcement describes Halloween activities throughout October. Check the in-game event information for availability as you play.
- Look for a current, dated location map. If using a community map or guide, confirm that it specifically covers the 2026 event and that its pins have been checked in-game. Rockstar’s announcement does not verify third-party location lists.
- Visit a marked location and interact with the lantern. Use the game’s available interaction prompt. The official announcement does not document a special collection sequence or per-lantern reward.
- Track your progress in-game. Do not rely on an assumed total from a previous year; Rockstar has not stated the 2026 count in the announcement.
What older Halloween guides can—and cannot—tell you
In 2022, Rockstar described hundreds of Jack O’Lanterns appearing across Los Santos and framed collecting them as a trick-or-treat activity (Rockstar Games, 2022). That is historical context, not confirmation of the 2026 total or current locations. A map based on that earlier event may not be accurate now.
Rewards can also depend on event timing and challenge requirements. As a historical example, Rockstar Support said the 2025 Vinewood Undead Collection required completing the first three Halloween Weekly Challenges during their respective Challenge periods, with the collection awarded within 72 hours after all three were completed (Rockstar Support, updated October 6, 2025). That was a 2025 reward condition, not the 2026 schedule.

How to avoid relying on outdated information
- Prefer a location guide that clearly states it was updated for the 2026 event and distinguishes verified current pins from historical ones.
- Check the game or Rockstar’s current event announcement for activity availability and reward details.
- Treat exact counts, coordinates, collection limits, and per-item rewards as unconfirmed unless a current source establishes them.
- Do not confuse UFO Business Battles at Fort Zancudo with the Jack O’Lantern collectible activity; both are named Halloween activities, but they are different tasks.
