The “mysterious bird” in Hel is an Odin’s Raven. Guides list six in Helheim: the first is above the gold ring on the bridge near an early Legendary Chest, two are in the lower ravine, and the remaining ravens are found on a return visit with Atreus, including one inside the Hidden Chamber. Helheim collectibles can be collected after the story, according to PowerPyx’s collectibles guide.
Find the first raven above the bridge
- After leaving Týr’s Temple, start across the bridge in Helheim.
- Near the early Legendary Chest, look up at the circular gold structure or ring. The first raven is perched above it. The Helheim route guides identify this as raven 1/6. PowerPyx’s Helheim guide, IGN’s Helheim guide, and GamesRadar’s Helheim guide list the location.
Check the red-sap passage and lower ravine
Raven behind the red sap
Continue over the bridge and crawl through the icy passage at its end. Climb the broken stairs and look to the right for red tree sap. Have Atreus shoot the sap with electric arrows to reveal the raven behind it, as described in PowerPyx’s Helheim guide.

Two ravens in the lower area
Continue down into the lower ravine and inspect both branches. One raven circles above the abyss near the frozen statues. The other is perched on ice after you climb the nearby wall. These are separate collectibles; the guides list both in this lower area. PowerPyx and IGN document these locations.
Return with Atreus for the later ravens
Some of the remaining locations are reached on a later visit along the bridge, when Atreus can clear Shatter Crystals blocking the route. The guides differ somewhat in how they describe the bridge landmarks and ordering, so use the recognizable barriers and nearby features rather than relying only on a numbered sequence.

- Physical combat over the shoulder free camera brings the action closer than ever combat in God of war is up close frenetic and unflinching. Kratos' Axes powerful, magic and multi faceted is a brutal weapon as well as a versatile tool for exploration
- Midgard and beyond: Set within the untamed forests, mountains, and realms of Norse lore, God of war features a distinctly new setting with its own pantheon of creatures, monsters, and gods
- Vicious, physical combat with an over the shoulder free camera that brings the player closer to the action than ever before
- Clear the relevant Shatter Crystals to reveal a raven above a coffin.
- Continue toward the Hidden Chamber entrance. Clear the crystal barrier there to expose another raven.
These return-visit locations and the need to clear environmental barriers are described by IGN and GamesRadar.
Find the final raven inside the Hidden Chamber
Enter the Hidden Chamber, take the elevator down, and climb the stairs. Look upstairs before the Valkyrie room or arena entrance for the final raven. The Helheim guides identify this as the last of the six listed ravens. PowerPyx, IGN, and GamesRadar place it inside the chamber, before the Valkyrie area.

Can you collect the Helheim ravens after the story?
Yes. PowerPyx’s God of War (2018) collectibles guide states that Helheim collectibles are not missable and can be collected after the story. If a raven is blocked during your first visit, return when the route and Atreus’s abilities let you clear the relevant barriers.
