For an LG appliance in the United States, start by checking the warranty for your exact model, then submit a warranty repair request through LG’s online service flow. If you have an LG Premium Care plan, LG directs you to file by phone instead. The steps below explain what to prepare, how to track service, and what to do if the manufacturer warranty has expired.
Check your appliance’s warranty before requesting service
Open LG’s Warranty Information page and search for your model. LG says its limited warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship under normal and proper use, for products lawfully purchased, installed, and used in the United States, including U.S. territories. The warranty period begins on the original delivery or purchase date.
Coverage and duration depend on the model and its warranty document. Read the detailed terms supplied with your appliance; the general warranty page is not a substitute for those terms. A problem occurring during a stated warranty period does not by itself establish that a particular repair is covered.

Prepare the details LG may need
Have the following information available before you start. LG’s registration instructions request several of these details, but its public support pages do not establish that every item is mandatory for every repair request.

- A concise description of the problem, including any error message or symptom
- Your contact details
Submit a standard LG warranty repair request
- Go to LG’s U.S. Request a Repair page and choose the warranty repair pathway.
- Select the appliance and the symptom that best matches the issue.
- Enter your contact details and submit the request, confirming the information when prompted.
- Track the request online. LG says an LG Support Representative will review available service dates with you.
Track the request and confirm the appointment
Use LG’s repair tracking page to follow the request. The tracker may not show a different or additional appointment arranged directly with the service provider. LG says the provider must confirm the appointment, so contact that provider to verify the actual date and time.
Prepare the appliance for access when applicable: LG notes that a TV may need to be unmounted and a washer or dryer unstacked before service. LG also says parts typically arrive 1–5 business days after shipment. That estimate concerns parts transit only; it is not a guarantee of an appointment date or repair-completion time.

If the claim or scheduling process stalls

- You have Premium Care: Use the plan phone number rather than assuming the standard manufacturer-warranty online route applies. Confirm the current call hours with LG.
- The warranty has expired: Ask LG about Direct Service pricing before authorizing paid repair.
