Train a robot to search and capture results

Start training a robot from the relevant website URL. If results appear only after a search, train it to focus the search field, enter the query, and submit it. Wait for loading spinners to disappear and for the results and any filters to render before capturing the list. In Robot Studio, choose Capture Text → From a list. Hover over repeated result cards or rows and select the list when its outline matches the results you intend to capture. Browse AI describes this mode as suited to repeating information such as search results and product listings, and says the list is structured into a suggested dataset that you can customize. Name the list and choose how many items to capture. Select the visible fields you need, such as a result title, description, URL, price, or rating when those fields are present. These are possible fields, not a guarantee that every site exposes them.

Save the list, finish and name the robot, then run it. Review the captured data and approve it. If the fields were grouped incorrectly, use the manual selection or list customization flow to refine the capture.

Choose the pagination setting that matches the page

Handle searches, reveal controls, and detail pages
When the search has to happen first
Make the query part of the robot’s training rather than starting from a results list that does not yet exist. Submit the search, wait for the results to finish rendering, and then capture the list. If a filter or result count appears after the search, allow it to load before selecting the repeated rows.

When a click reveals pagination
Some pages hide results or pagination behind an initial click, toggle, or “show all” action. Train the robot to perform that interaction first; then capture the revealed list and set its pagination behavior. For lazy-loaded results, demonstrate scrolling and pause long enough for content to appear. Where the site has an explicit load-more button, Browse AI’s guidance favors that setting over infinite scrolling in that situation.
When you need each result’s detail page
List pagination gathers result items and their captured fields; it does not by itself visit every result URL to extract more details. For that, Browse AI describes connecting robots in a workflow: one robot gathers the list and URLs, and another visits the detail pages. Check the run and troubleshoot missing or messy data
Browse AI’s help guidance suggests checking the expected result count and inspecting records from later pages. The vendor’s suggestions below are troubleshooting options, not a guarantee that every site will yield a complete or duplicate-free capture.

A robot has to be trained for the site’s actual search and pagination interactions, and the output should be checked for omissions and duplicates.
