To evolve a unit in Command an Army, first check that it has an evolution path, then raise it to the reported Level 20 threshold. At the hub, use the station labeled Evolve, select the unit’s available next form, and review the requirements shown in-game before confirming. Level 20 is community-reported guidance, not an officially documented guarantee, so check the unit’s live panel.
How to evolve a unit
- Check for an evolution path. Not every unit necessarily evolves. Look at the unit’s progression options and identify its next form before investing time in leveling it.
- Reach Level 20. Third-party guides consistently report Level 20 as the evolution threshold for eligible units. One current guide says this is based on player reports rather than official documentation; use the requirement displayed for your unit in the current game.
- Go to the Evolve station. Community guides place it in the central hub near the summoning area, beneath a large golden dragon. Look for the station’s Evolve label, since the directions are not officially confirmed and a separate Ascension station is nearby.
- Select the unit and inspect the requirements. Review the next form and any materials or other requirements shown in the live interface. The consulted guides do not establish a reliable universal cost, so do not assume every evolution uses the same items or amount.
- Confirm only when the interface says Evolve. Check the selected unit and resulting form before committing any resources.
Evolution paths reported in guides
The following paths are documented across a September 19 guide and October 2026 coverage. The September list predates Update 3; the two additional paths below are attributed to that update in October reporting. This is a community-reported list, not a current official roster, so verify the path in-game.

The first eight lines come from a September 19 guide; October 2026 coverage reports Mace → Morningstar and Pikeman → Phalangite as additions in Update 3. The guide’s date and the update coverage are why the table should be treated as a useful check, not a promise that every path remains available in the current client.

Evolution changes a unit into a different named form on its path. Ascension is described by community guides as using a duplicate to add stats while leaving the unit’s listed form unchanged. Because the stations are reported to be close together, verify that the screen says Evolve before confirming.

Which unit should you evolve?
There is no supported universal ranking of these paths. Decide based on your own lineup and what the next form contributes, rather than assuming a guide’s preferred units are best for everyone. One guide notes an army limit of four units; if that limit applies in your current game, it makes each slot and the role it fills relevant to your choice.
- Confirm the unit’s next form is actually listed in-game.
- Consider whether that form fills a useful role in your lineup.
- Check the live requirements and decide whether the resource commitment is worthwhile for your roster.
How current is the guidance?
The level threshold and hub location come from third-party guides, not official documentation. An official Roblox experience page could not be verified for these mechanics, and the consulted guides do not establish a stable, complete cost list. The path list combines an older guide with October 2026 reporting about Update 3, so the game’s current unit screen is the practical authority for your selected unit.
