Estimate Super Chat income from your channel’s own YouTube Analytics data: divide reported Supers revenue by the eligible hours you streamed during the same period, then multiply that observed hourly rate by the future hours you expect to stream. Treat the result as a forecast, not a guaranteed rate. No universal Super Chat earnings-per-hour benchmark for 24/7 channels is established by YouTube’s official guidance.
Calculate your observed Super Chat rate
Use creator revenue reported in YouTube Analytics, not the total viewers spent on Supers. Keep the revenue period and stream-hour period aligned, and count only hours when the stream could actually receive Supers.
- In YouTube Studio, open Analytics, then Revenue, and look for How you make money to view Supers reporting. Interface labels can change, so check the current Studio layout if they differ.
- Choose a historical date range and record the Supers revenue shown for that period.
- Record the actual eligible live-stream hours in that same period. Exclude hours when the stream was not live or Supers could not be purchased.
- Divide Supers revenue by eligible live hours. The result is your observed creator revenue per eligible live hour for that period.
Formula: observed creator revenue per eligible live hour = Analytics Supers revenue ÷ eligible live hours.
If you start with viewer purchase totals instead of the creator’s Analytics figure, do not label that total as creator earnings. YouTube’s share and applicable deductions affect what creators receive.

Turn the observed rate into a forecast
Simple baseline
Multiply the observed hourly rate by the number of eligible hours in your forecast period. A continuously live schedule has 24 stream hours per day, but multiplying one historical rate by every future hour is useful only if the historical period reasonably represents the future schedule and audience behavior.
For example, use your own Analytics rate and planned hours in this calculation: forecast creator Supers revenue = observed creator revenue per eligible live hour × forecast eligible live hours. This is a calculation method, not a YouTube earnings formula or a prediction of what viewers will spend.

Separate time slots and days when you have enough data
A single average can hide meaningful variation. If your channel has enough history, group comparable periods by time of day and day of week, calculate each group’s observed rate, and forecast each corresponding future block separately. Add the block estimates for the total. This channel-specific model is more informative than assuming every hour earns the same amount, but it remains a forecast based on past behavior.

Show a range, not false precision
Build lower, typical, and higher scenarios from your own comparable historical periods. State each period’s duration, the number of eligible stream hours, and whether the figure is creator-reported revenue or viewer spend. The reviewed official sources do not establish a standard range or typical hourly income for 24/7 channels.

Understand what the reported revenue represents
YouTube says creators who accept the Commerce Product Module receive 70% of net revenue from channel memberships, Super Chat, Super Stickers, and Super Thanks. Its Super Chat guidance further says creators receive 70% of Supers revenue confirmed by Google, calculated after local sales tax and iOS App Store fees; YouTube says it currently covers transaction costs including credit-card fees. Use your channel’s Analytics amount as the estimate’s starting point rather than applying a second assumed share to it.
The percentage is a documented revenue-share rule in that Commerce Product Module context, not a promise that every viewer’s displayed purchase price becomes creator revenue. Your own Analytics records the relevant creator-side amount.

Check whether the hours and videos were eligible
A 24-hour broadcast is not automatically eligible for Supers throughout its run, and availability can vary by creator, location, contract, stream, and chat settings. YouTube’s current eligibility and availability documentation and the Studio Earn section are the right places to check the rules that apply to your channel; availability and requirements can change.
- Super Chat and Super Stickers are unavailable on age-restricted, unlisted, private, Made for Kids, and Giving fundraiser videos.
- They are also unavailable when live chat or comments are disabled.
- Eligibility also depends on meeting fan-funding requirements, applicable terms including the Commerce Product Module, and YouTube’s policies.
When estimating, exclude ineligible periods rather than treating them as zero-demand hours. Zero purchases during an eligible period may be useful evidence about observed audience behavior; a period when Supers could not be used is a different case.

Choose the right Analytics view and validate the forecast
YouTube’s live-stream metrics guidance notes that video-level metrics can become available within minutes after a stream ends. It also warns that interaction and revenue reports are unavailable when filtering for Live alone. If a live-only report does not show the revenue detail you need, use an Analytics view that includes Live & on demand where appropriate, then verify that the date range and revenue basis match your stream-hour records.
After the forecast period ends, compare the estimate with the relevant Supers revenue reported in Analytics. Note whether the difference came from schedule changes, ineligible hours, or audience behavior, then update the assumptions for the next forecast. A forecast becomes more useful as it is checked against your own subsequent reporting; it does not become a guaranteed rate.
