How is the October Open related to the December Fall Cup?
Nintendo describes the October Open as a qualifier for the Mario Kart World Fall Cup 2026, planned for December. The announcement says the Fall Cup itself is exclusive to North American players. This is separate from the Open’s reward wording, which covers eligible participants from North and South American regions; do not assume that receiving the Open participation reward makes a player eligible for the Fall Cup.

The announcement’s Fall Cup rules summary describes a separate promotion, including a September 19–approximately December 12 tournament period and a top-24 placement in one qualifying event as the championship qualification threshold. It also summarizes age, residency, system, game, account, internet, and membership requirements. These summary terms do not replace the promotion’s official rules, which Nintendo links from its announcement. Consult those rules for complete eligibility and entry terms.
