To embed a YouTube playlist in a Blogger post, copy the playlist’s embed code from YouTube, paste it into the post editor’s HTML view, then preview the page before publishing. The steps are the same in India as elsewhere; use the playlist page—not an individual video page—and check that its videos are available for embedding.
Embed a playlist in a Blogger post
- Open the playlist on a computer. Go to the playlist itself in YouTube, rather than opening one video from it. A playlist URL includes a
listidentifier; YouTube’s playlist help describes how to recognize the playlist link: YouTube Help: Create and manage playlists. - Copy YouTube’s embed code. On the playlist page, select Share, then Embed, and copy the HTML YouTube provides. YouTube documents this method for adding a video or playlist to a website or blog: Embed videos & playlists.
- Open the Blogger post editor. Create a post or edit the one where the playlist belongs. Switch the editor to its HTML view, position the cursor where the player should appear, and paste the copied code. Blogger documents post creation and editing, as well as HTML editing: Create, edit, or delete a post and Edit HTML in Blogger.
- Preview, then publish or update. Check the player in the post preview and again on the published page. If it overflows the content column, adjust the iframe’s
widthandheightvalues in the embed markup. A Blogger theme’s layout determines how the player fits, so preview the actual post rather than assuming one size works everywhere.
This combines YouTube’s documented embed-code workflow with Blogger’s HTML editor. Blogger’s help does not give a playlist-specific walkthrough, and it cautions that custom code and third-party widgets are added at the author’s risk.
Choose where the player belongs

For a playlist that belongs with a particular article, the post editor is usually the more direct placement. Blogger’s theme and layout guidance is available at Edit HTML in Blogger.

Check playlist access and playback restrictions
- Playlist or video privacy: Private videos will not play for viewers who have not been granted access. Confirm the playlist and each relevant video can be viewed by your intended audience.
- Embedding disabled: A video’s uploader can disable embedding, which can prevent that item from playing in the player. YouTube recommends using public videos that allow embedding; see YouTube’s embed guidance and Change video privacy settings.
- Age restriction: Age-restricted videos may not play on most third-party websites and can direct viewers to YouTube instead. This is a restriction on the video, not a Blogger setting.
- Privacy Enhanced Mode: YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embed option uses the
youtube-nocookie.comdomain. YouTube also says site owners must self-designate child-directed sites even when using this mode. The embedded player needs an HTTP referrer and is intended to run inside a webpage, not as a bare player URL opened directly. Details: Embed videos & playlists.
Fix common embed problems
A playlist item is missing or will not play
Check whether the video is private or embedding is disabled. Ask the uploader to make it available to viewers or use a video that permits embedding. If the video is age-restricted, viewers may need to watch it on YouTube.

The player is wider than the post
Return to the embed markup in the Blogger post’s HTML view and revise the iframe’s width and height attributes. Preview again at the post’s actual content width. Theme layouts vary, so there is no single dimension guaranteed to fit every Blogger site.
The browser reports mixed content
Use HTTPS for the embed URL. If the page or theme contains an insecure HTTP URL, Blogger’s troubleshooting guidance explains how to locate it and replace it with HTTPS where available: Fix mixed content errors on your blog.

The player URL fails when opened by itself
Paste the full embed markup into the post so the player runs inside the webpage. YouTube documents a referrer requirement for embedded playback; a bare player URL is not a substitute for the enclosing page.

Embedding a video does not give you the right to upload or republish someone else’s work; use videos you are authorized to feature and follow YouTube’s terms. YouTube says occasional embedded videos on a blog that also carries general-purpose ads are acceptable, but warns against sites that simply aggregate embedded videos to intentionally generate ad revenue.
