To show Hindi song names in a 24/7 YouTube music stream, add a now-playing overlay to the video scene you send to YouTube. In OBS, a browser source can display changing track information, but it needs a reliable source for the current title and artist. YouTube’s own “Music” section is separate and is not guaranteed to appear or update for every song in a live stream.
What you need for a changing song label
A song name visible in the picture must be part of the outgoing video. Add a text or graphic overlay to the scene used for the livestream, and connect it to track information that changes with playback. A browser-source approach for OBS is described in the OBS Project forums’ current-song overlay resource, which lists support for YouTube and YouTube Music and identifies YouTube chapters or video-description playlists as possible title inputs.
The overlay cannot reliably show the correct song just because music is playing: its title input must match the actual playback order. Decide whether the label should show the official title alone or the title and artist, and use credits supplied by the rights holder where available. Keep the changing in-picture label distinct from the stream’s title and description.

- Confirm the playlist order and title source. Identify how the music is played and where the track titles come from. The cited OBS resource describes YouTube chapters and video-description playlists as inputs. Check that the titles and order match the stream’s actual schedule; do not assume the overlay can infer the current song when its input is out of sync.
- Add the browser source to the live scene. In OBS, select the scene that is sent to YouTube, add a Browser source, and configure it with the overlay resource’s instructions and the title input you intend to use. The source listing describes the method; it does not establish that every setup, playlist, or title source will work without configuration.
- Place and style the label. Position it where it does not cover important visuals. Make the text large and high-contrast enough to read at the resolution viewers will see. For long titles, choose a layout that wraps or scrolls without hiding the artist or song name.
- Preview real Hindi titles before relying on it. Check a representative Devanagari title, the longest expected title, and any artist name. Inspect glyphs, font support, contrast, line breaks or scrolling, and whether the label changes at the correct track transition. The resource listing does not verify Hindi or Devanagari rendering, so treat this as a required check in your own setup.
- Check the outgoing stream scene. Confirm the overlay appears in the scene being sent to YouTube, not only in a different OBS scene or preview. Watch a track change and compare the displayed title with the actual playback.
Why YouTube’s Music section is not a substitute
YouTube Help says its “Music in this video” section can show information such as song and artist names. That section may be absent if YouTube lacks sufficient rights-holder data, has not identified the music, or has not yet populated information about a recent claim. It is not documented as a configurable, continuously updating overlay for every item in a live stream.

If track information is missing or inaccurate, the upstream metadata may need attention. YouTube Help names identifiers such as ISRC, ISWC, UPC, and ISNI as information associated with music metadata. If a label, publisher, or collection society manages the recording, ask whether the information supplied to YouTube is correct. Content ID reference metadata requirements for eligible partners are not general instructions for an ordinary creator’s on-screen overlay.
Song labels do not grant music rights
A visible title or artist credit is not permission to broadcast a song. YouTube says it scans live streams for third-party content; a stream may receive a placeholder or warning, be interrupted, or be terminated. Even licensed third-party content may require the rights owner to add the channel to its allowlist. YouTube’s livestream terms place responsibility on the provider to hold the necessary rights for live content worldwide, including music licensing rights.

Resolve licensing and any required channel allowlisting separately from setting up the overlay. YouTube also notes that archived livestreams can receive claims after the stream ends, so a live session passing without interruption does not establish that the music is cleared for the archive.

If your 24/7 stream uses uploaded videos rather than a live camera feed, StreamNeo can keep a YouTube channel live from the cloud: upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. It plays uploaded videos; it does not create the Hindi song overlay for you, so prepare and verify the video and its song labels before uploading.
