Delete one paired device from the radio

Find your radio’s model number and open its official operating manual. Pioneer provides model-specific product and parts pages with manual references; menu labels and navigation can differ across receivers. Find your Pioneer model and manual.

On models with the documented touch-screen Bluetooth menu, open Bluetooth settings and select Connection. The menu lists registered devices and provides options to connect, disconnect, or delete one. Wait for the Bluetooth setting operation to finish. The AVH manuals caution: “Never turn this product off and disconnect the device while the Bluetooth setting operation is being processed.” Follow this warning for those models. AVH-Z7250BT and AVH-Z5250BT operation manuals.

Choose the right action: delete, disconnect, or clear memory

| Disconnect | Ends the current connection; it does not delete the registered device. | Use when you want to stop a connection temporarily but keep the pairing. |
| Delete registered device | Removes one saved device from the radio’s Bluetooth device list. | Use to remove an old phone or other device while retaining other registrations. |
| Bluetooth Memory Clear | Clears Bluetooth memory more broadly than deleting one listed device. | Use only if you intend to clear stored Bluetooth information, rather than remove a single pairing. |
The AVH-Z7250BT and AVH-Z5250BT manuals document Bluetooth Memory Clear: select Clear, then OK. The MVH-A215BT manual also describes clearing Bluetooth memory. The exact scope and menu wording should be confirmed in the manual for your model. AVH manuals; MVH-A215BT manual.
If your screen or controls do not match
Do not assume every Pioneer radio uses the same button sequence. An older Pioneer Europe manual, for example, describes its own route through the Bluetooth screen to Connection and includes model-specific parking-brake conditions. Use the manual for your receiver rather than applying another model’s instructions. Pioneer Europe operation manual.

The AVH-Z5250BT manual states a limit of five registered devices for that model. That capacity is not established as a general limit for Pioneer radios. AVH-Z5250BT operation manual.

Deleting the registration on the radio manages the radio’s saved device list. A phone’s saved Bluetooth entry is a separate setting; consult the phone’s instructions if you also need to remove the radio from the phone. The steps depend on the phone and are not the same as deleting the pairing on the stereo.
