YouTube Live Control Room manages the broadcast, but it does not provide the continuous video feed by itself. To run a Hindi devotional livestream around the clock, prepare a rights-cleared playlist or program, send it through an encoder or cloud playout service, and connect that source to YouTube with your stream URL and key. First enable live streaming on your channel, test the setup, and plan for session breaks: YouTube automatically archives streams under 12 hours, so a single longer broadcast is not a dependable way to preserve a complete replay.
Before you start: enable live streaming and clear the content
Check channel eligibility early
Verify your YouTube channel and enable live streaming in advance. YouTube says first-time live-stream enablement can take up to 24 hours. Its general live-stream requirements include no live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days, and streamers must be at least 16. Check the current requirements in YouTube Studio before scheduling a launch.
Make a rights list for the whole program
List every song, recording, performance, visual, and repeated segment you plan to broadcast. A devotional purpose does not itself grant permission to rebroadcast a recording. Rights to a composition and rights to a particular sound recording or performance can differ; permissions may also differ by territory and between a live broadcast and an archived replay. Confirm that your permissions cover the uses you intend.

A licence may not prevent an interruption if the rights holder has not allowlisted your channel through Content ID. Ask the relevant owner or distributor about allowlisting, and remember that an archived stream can receive a Content ID claim after it ends. Do not assume a bhajan, a public-domain composition, or a recording available on another YouTube channel is automatically cleared for your stream.

Choose what will keep the feed running
For a prepared devotional playlist or rendered visual, YouTube requires an operating source that plays and encodes the program and sends it to the service. Live Control Room creates and manages the YouTube broadcast; it does not replace that source. You can use streaming software on a computer, standalone hardware, or a cloud service. The right fit depends on whether your material is prerecorded or coming from live inputs, whether a computer and network can stay available, and how you will monitor interruptions and handle session breaks.
- Software encoder: OBS is listed by YouTube as free, open-source streaming software. It runs on your computer, so the computer, playback, encoder, and network must remain operational for a continuous feed.
- Standalone hardware: YouTube lists the AJA HELO Plus as a hardware encoder with direct YouTube Live streaming and scheduled prerecorded-media capability. Consider this route when you specifically need standalone hardware; it may be more than a basic playlist stream needs.
- Cloud playout: YouTube lists Gyre as a cloud-based service for 24/7 prerecorded-video streaming. It is an option to investigate if you do not want playback to depend on a computer at home; check its current terms and capabilities directly.
YouTube’s encoder directory identifies available categories and products, but it is not an independent comparison or a promise that a particular setup will stay uninterrupted. For any approach, decide how you will notice a dropped feed, restart it, and retain a separate recording if you need a complete archive.
Create the YouTube broadcast and connect your encoder
- Open Live Control Room: In YouTube Studio, select Create → Go Live. Open the Stream tab and create a stream or reuse an existing configuration. Enter the title and description, choose visibility, and schedule the broadcast if needed.
- Copy the connection details: In Live Control Room, copy the stream URL/server and stream key into the corresponding streaming settings in your encoder. Treat the key as sensitive account access information: do not publish it, show it on-screen, or share it unnecessarily.
- Configure the program in the encoder: Select the prepared devotional video or playlist as the source, and configure the audio and video output in the encoder. Use the current settings guidance shown by YouTube and your encoder for the chosen format and connection; the exact appropriate bitrate and output settings depend on the source and setup. Check that the devotional audio is audible and balanced and that lyrics, subtitles, or other text remain legible in the preview.
- Start sending the feed: Start the encoder and wait for the incoming preview to appear in Live Control Room. Check the outgoing audio and video and review stream health before making the broadcast public.
- Go live: For a scheduled stream, select Go Live in Live Control Room when the preview is ready. For a public launch, first test the full path with an unlisted stream, then verify the event’s visibility before the intended start.
- Monitor the session: Keep an eye on the incoming feed and stream health. A 24/7 schedule is an availability goal, not a guarantee that YouTube, an encoder, a cloud service, or a local network will never disconnect.
Choose horizontal, vertical, or dual viewing before launch
YouTube Live Control Room supports horizontal 16:9 and vertical 9:16 viewing options, including dual streaming. A vertical stream may be discoverable in the Shorts feed. The vertical format cannot be added after a stream has started, so decide on the layout before going live.

Review the framing in advance, especially if your program includes devotional text, lyrics, subtitles, or imagery near the edges. A vertical rendition may appear centered or cropped unless you adjust it. If your encoder sends both formats, use the corresponding stream keys and make sure the two feeds match the intended content and framing.
Plan session length and replay recording
YouTube automatically archives streams under 12 hours. Do not rely on one stream running longer than 12 hours to produce a complete replay. If a full replay matters, plan shorter broadcast sessions and keep a separate local recording of the program. Check YouTube Studio’s current archive behavior when planning, since platform features can change.
For a continuous devotional channel, decide how the next session will begin before the current one ends. A planned handoff or restart is more manageable than assuming a single broadcast can run indefinitely, and a separate recording protects the version you intend to retain.

Troubleshoot common setup problems
- Live streaming is not available yet: If this is your first broadcast, enable live streaming and allow up to 24 hours for activation. Verify the channel and check whether a live-streaming restriction in the previous 90 days affects eligibility.
- No preview appears in Live Control Room: Confirm that the encoder is running and that its server URL and stream key match the active YouTube stream. Check the encoder’s connection status and selected source.
- The preview appears, but there is no sound: Check that the intended audio source is selected and that the encoder is sending it. Listen to the preview before going live; do not assume a visible video feed includes working audio.
- The broadcast is interrupted after music begins: Review YouTube’s notice and the matched material. Confirm the rights for the exact recording and use, and ask the rights holder or distributor about Content ID allowlisting where applicable. A licence alone may not prevent automated interruption.
- Lyrics or devotional imagery are cut off in vertical viewing: Review the vertical framing before starting. Adjust the source or layout and check the preview; vertical cannot be added once the stream has started.
- The replay is incomplete or missing after a very long session: A stream longer than 12 hours is not a dependable way to obtain a complete archive. Use shorter sessions and retain a separate recording if you need the full program.
- The feed drops during a long run: Check whether the playback source, encoder or cloud service, and network connection are still operating. Resume the feed from the source and monitor the new preview before returning to the broadcast. A continuous schedule does not remove the need for monitoring or recovery planning.
