To run Bengali Christian worship videos continuously on YouTube, first clear the rights for every song and recording, then loop one file or a playlist in OBS and send that encoder feed to a YouTube live broadcast. YouTube does not guarantee an uninterrupted 24/7 stream, so plan to monitor the broadcast and recover from dropped connections or copyright warnings.
Before you stream: clear the rights to every video
Do not assume a video is reusable because it is public on YouTube or can be embedded. A worship video may involve separate rights in the composition, lyrics or translation, performance, sound recording, and audiovisual recording. Permission for one element does not necessarily cover the others, and rights can vary by territory and intended use.
- Make an inventory. For each file, record the song, lyrics or translation, performers, recording, and video. Identify who controls each relevant right.
- Get permission for the actual use. Confirm in writing that the permission or license covers a YouTube livestream on your channel, the relevant territory, and any replay or archive you intend to leave available. The United Methodist Church’s 2026 guidance is an example of why scope matters; its licensing examples are specific to its covered uses and do not establish universal coverage for Bengali worship material. Read its copyright and streaming guidance.
- Ask about Content ID allowlisting. YouTube scans live streams for matches to third-party content. A match can lead to a warning, a placeholder replacing the stream, interruption, or termination. Even if you have a license, the stream may be interrupted if the rights owner has not allowlisted your channel in Content ID. Keep permission records and any allowlisting confirmation with your stream plan. YouTube’s live-stream copyright guidance.
YouTube may also apply Content ID claims to an archived stream after the broadcast ends. Decide whether to keep a replay only after checking that your permissions cover it.

Confirm your channel can go live
Check live access in YouTube Studio before preparing a launch. YouTube Help currently says a channel must be verified and must not have had a live-stream restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube also currently requires a person to be at least 16 to livestream. For a first music livestream, YouTube for Artists recommends verifying at least 24 hours ahead. Requirements and controls can change, so check YouTube’s current help pages during setup.

Choose a single repeat or a playlist

OBS documents these controls in its Media Sources guide. A VLC Video source requires VLC to be installed. Playlist order and shuffle are separate choices, so verify the order you want rather than assuming the list will play randomly.
Build the loop in OBS
- Create a scene. In OBS, add a scene for the broadcast. Scenes and sources are the building blocks for arranging media and optional overlays. See the OBS Sources guide.
- Add one video or a playlist. For a single file, add a Media Source, select the local video, and enable Loop. For multiple files, add a VLC Video source, add the files in the intended order, and leave Loop Playlist enabled if it should restart after the last item.
- Preview the whole cycle. Check the transition at each file’s end, confirm the audio is audible and balanced, and make sure any artwork, lyrics, or captions are visible. If you use a playlist, confirm what happens after the final file.
- Keep the source files available. OBS is playing local media, so the computer running OBS and the files must remain available while the stream is operating.
Connect OBS to a YouTube broadcast
- Open YouTube Studio and create or schedule a live broadcast. Use the Live Control Room’s encoder workflow; you do not need to write API code for this creator-facing setup.
- Copy the stream key into OBS’s streaming settings. Treat the key like a password: do not publish it or share it. If it is exposed, reset it in YouTube Studio before streaming again.
- Start the encoder and verify the incoming feed. In Live Control Room, confirm YouTube receives the video and audio, then start or schedule the viewer-facing broadcast as appropriate.
Google’s API documentation distinguishes the incoming liveStream feed configuration from the liveBroadcast event viewers watch; creators using Studio can handle both through the Live Control Room. The same YouTube Help page currently documents a limit of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. These are concurrency limits, not uptime guarantees. Monitor and recover instead of assuming “continuous” means guaranteed
A continuous stream depends on the encoder feed reaching YouTube. Internet outages, power loss, software failure, or YouTube-side interruptions can stop it; YouTube does not promise that an individual broadcast will remain online without interruption. Keep the Live Control Room visible to an operator and define who will respond if the feed drops or a warning appears.

- Watch the stream status and audio/video from a separate viewer session after going live.
- Keep a simple restart procedure: check the encoder and connection, restart the feed if needed, and confirm the Live Control Room receives it again.
- Respond to copyright warnings rather than assuming the stream will continue. A licensed video can still be interrupted if the channel is not allowlisted.
- Review archive settings before the broadcast, because Content ID claims can arrive after the live stream ends.
